After a 2015 season that produced 2 surprise touring late model champions, who is everyone predicting to win the World of Outlaw and the LUCAS Late Model championships?

Lucas=Jared Landers. Woo= Chub Frank. It just wouldn't work out in Lucas for The Kid Rocket because he just would not show up every night with the best car every night and win without sharing pertinent information with the long time loyal buyers of his chassis. He would be lucky to crack the top 6 on any given night with the new various chassis that are making more and more progress each race.

That is extremely unlikely, for a variety of reasons.

Because telling everybody else what you're doing is totally going to make your car better, right?

UH YEAH ! Rockets success was built of the information shared from a group of great drivers that all shared their knowledge and made notes that they all worked from. Rockets demise is from the house car keeping everything that they found the last several years and keeping everything to their own advantage. After all that the fellow Rocket drivers did to turn the business into the number 1 chassis builder only to get thrown under the bus.

I have news for you. None of the house car teams share everything. In any form of racing. They're not going to make the competition faster when they're trying to win races and championships.

Rockets demise? they have 90 cars to build right now, with no sign of slowing up. if you are saying demise because Kid Puke sucked last year then i understand , but the company itself if as good as ever!

Dude is clearly a Chub Frank groupie. Chub said Rockets suck because they don't give him any information, so it must be true.

The Kid really only sucked for the first half of the year, anyways. He was back to being competitive most nights the second half of the year.

Never buy a car based on what the "house" cars are doing...unless youre buying the house car.     Always buy a chassis based on what everyone else is doing with them, as that's what youre getting.

House cars. #1 they are usually the first ones that have to try a new change. Be it tires, set up, or many other factors. You have to remember there is more things tried that don't work. That and they do find something there is many more reasons to determine when they plan on shearing that info. No one is going to share shit going into big races. Chub hasn't been the same for years.

Exactly!    I have seen house cars that had a degree split here, or more/less offset there that isn't even very noticeable to the naked eye of most people.   The other part that comes into play is what is sold to the masses works for most applications and most driver styles.

House cars are built to driver styles, and what works for that driver.   If the house drivers like a car that is more loose/tight to his driving style, it will be built accordingly.   Just how Nascrap has short track and long track cars, so too do "prototype" dirt cars.   As quick as it is to change anything on a Late Model, there is a reason top teams have multiple cars, and they are not just for different suspension.

The other aspect that comes into play is engine.   An engine built for 1 or 2 events is built different than one expected to get a season.   There are ways to squeeze a little bit more out of a plant at the cost of accelerated wear.      Selling/Leasing an engine in a known "series" capacity is different than the weekend warrior who calls and says I want the top.    Problem is after 2 races, that person doesn't want to refreshen, and it makes the builder look bad.   The peak power curve is different weather you are on a long track, or a short bullring.     "one size fits all" is not always the fastest in all situations.

People buy chassis based on what the big boys do, and buy engines based on the decal on the nose, and "think" they are getting the same thing.

Tunacan, I think in most cases people do get the same as everybody else. The difference beyond that is there are few that really understand how to get that last little power combo hooked to that particular racing surface.
