What tracks are you looking to run at ? Why not just make it 1600/lm40 and that's it ?

Who are these drivers you polled that said tires are the main cost ? 13k rebuilds are the main cost , that and the testing that's now required to have a legit shot at winning

Why a hard spec tire rule?

--Drastically cuts tire bill
--Car count increase at series events because horsepower
isn't as important if you can't put it to the ground.
--Puts driver back in charge of winning races.
--Minimize "around the bottom"and locked-down tracks
--Side-by-side-racing...remember that?

I think what people are trying to say is a 1350 is NOT a hard tire ..... At all

1350's are soooo hard that they would barely last a heat race at many tracks ....

*****UPDATE RULES INFO***

After a lot of further debate the decision has been made for this tire rule:

1600 right rear

1325 rf

1325 lr

Open lf

We want to make it as easy as possible to race with us yet not make it so you have to carry 20 tires to do so.

We are also VERY concerned about keeping costs down. After much discussion and debate, the rules above will stand.

Thanks to those car owners, racers and promoters who spoke with us last night. It is exactly because of conversations like that that took place last night why we can make REVOLUTION Super Late Model Series successful.

Thanks,

Jimmy Henry

The premise is good but the local guy running that track every week will now need to buy possibly 3 tires, at least one.

your running 800hp motors and your slowing them down with hard tires? really!!! I think the hp is your problem.

And if they continue on hard tires, the track surface will get ripped to shreds and the everyone will be calling for better track prep and new clay.....lol,
