What teams will show? I feel there will be at least 20 cars opening night! If not attending and feel a need to post something, post what track your team will be racing at.

In my opinion the guys who are quitting over the rule change were already about to quit and this just sped up their decision

After all the bullshit about this, what difference do you possibly think it will matter? This subject is dead, no one is going to change it, move on talk about

something interesting.

I've expended all the energy I care to on the subject because frankly, if they get more than a dozen cars, then it tells me that many of them will be the open motor guys that bitched and moaned about the crate rule, then bought one anyway. At the end of it all as long as they continue to run them last, it just means I'll get home earlier.

you have a choice either buy a crate or sell it, most will go crate.

I'm racing by the pool bar in hilton head. I've said it before, I retired, I moved south. I was buying a operation for me and my son. Word got out early in the summer what lernerville's plans where. If anyone hasn't figured it out, I do not agree with what they are doing whatsoever. I like building my motors, I like trying different engine combinations. There rules took all of that away. Do I disagree with crate racing. NO. The LM guys that can't compete with the SLM guys. This is a good class for them. I just think they have no business in sportsman, modifieds and what ever other class they are trying to take over.

Individual's get in this sport we all love because they like getting there hands dirty. They like building there on stuff. Belive it or not there is a lot of pride involved in racing also. You want to go crate racing be my guest. Half of those guys have probably never rebuilt there motor. The guy's at lernerville with heavy cars, you mite as well light a cigar and have a soda in the car with you. What about those guys ?

Me personally, I hope the penn/ohio series has huge car counts. I hope they don't give in to there way of thinking. Remeember, money talks, and I think they have the penn/ohio series in there cross hairs. If I was still jn pittsburgh I was going to contact P/O to see what I could do $$$ to help. 2500.00 to win sounded good to me.

Anyhow, good luck to any racer. And, I guess the outcome of all this will just have to play itself out. I have my opinion on the matter and each of you has yours. You no who the loser is going to be. Not Rush, Not the promotors, THE RACER

Most racers want to race, so when the rules change, most of them will come along.  Reminds me of the old days when the PRA dropped the coupes and switched to the 55-57 Chevys and Fords.  There was plenty of bitching from competitors and fans alike, but eventually things worked out.  I understand why many of the Sportsman drivers don't like the new rules (I might feel the same way if in their shoes), but if they want to race at Lernerville next summer, they'll have to adapt or go elsewhere (or park it).
