Townsend Gas & Oil Fuels the 2016 UFo Championship Point Funds!
2016 UFo Blastoff Date Advanced!
(Mars, PA) (Mars, PA) Townsend Gas & Oil/VP Fuel Distributor of Homer City, PA has come back aboard with the “New” UFo Championship as a tour sponsor. 100% of Townsend Gas & Oil’s sponsorship contributions will go to increase the 2016 UFo point bonus funds for both the Super Late Models and Semi-Late divisions.
The opening date for the UFo Championship divisions at Port Royal Speedway has been moved forward on the schedule. The “2016 World Blastoff” will now take place on Saturday, March 26.
Townsend Gas & Oil began in 1985 when Jim Townsend purchased Liggett Gas & Oil. This company was rebranded as Towsend Gas & Oil and was then a distributor of Pennzoil products. The 2016 UFo season will now take the green flag on Saturday, March 26 at Port Royal Speedway. The “2016 World Blastoff” will be ther first UFo two-late model division SuperNova event with the UFo Super Late Models racing for $3,000 to win. The UFo Semi-Lates will race for $1,000 to win in their premier event. The rain date for this event is April 9. Port Royal is one of the top racing facilities in the eastern states and continues to make improvements in 2016 with new seating and wall reconstruction.
2016 UFo Super Late Model and Semi-Late rules will have some adjustments to suspension and shock rules. Updated rules will be posted in the upcoming weeks.
