Or you could go to their site and see that there's almost ZERO changes other than adding the limited late class.

Greaseball, None of what you said really makes sense.  Hummingbird has not changed the name of anything.  Plus you'd be hard pressed to find a Pure Stock 4cyl in the pits.  Most of them have some kind of work done to them.  There's nothing stock about a stock car.

What is street able about the current street stock class, Why are the pure stocks called pure stocks?

What is the point of this? Everyone knew they added the SEMI late class. No other classes have changed names. I guess the only news you could've posted is that they finalized the rules for all classes.

I don't understand why you're complaining about the name of the class.  I run a Hummingbird Street Stock, I know that at other tracks they're called ProStocks, Super Stocks, Cadets, what ever....the name doesn't mean anything to me.  I don't go somewhere else and say oh...they run cadets here I can't run cause I have a street stock.

However, class names do confuse fans and even competitors!!!    In the early 1950s a "Sportsman" car was a flathead Ford coupe!!

They don't actually call them that. I dunno where that came from. I was hoping it meant they were actually going to allow aluminum motors.

So by simply changing the name of a class, cars would magically become legal and others would magically become illegal?

that's what people believe apparently...it's up to the driver to review the rules before going to the track.  If you show up based on a name and get dq'd because the rules aren't the same as your track then that's on you.  not the track
