My uncle Robert passed away today. He was 47. He started his racing career participating in demolition derbies and also competed in the V8 enduros. He eventually moved up to the pure stock division where he ran the familiar #22. He raced for many years with much success and raced against drivers like Joe Kelley, Bob Lipinski, Butch Lambert, Scott Bochek, Paul Shreckengost, Jeff Walters and Bruce Milbert to name a few. He was the reason why my brother and I started racing. He was away from racing for awhile but in recent years started attending races at Lernerville where he was an integral part of our pit crew and one of the reasons why we had so much success. He will be sadly missed. Please keep his 3 children and our family in your thoughts and prayers.

Jim, having Robert in your crew was good for your team. In his racing days he raced many times against all those guys you mention in your post, and many more. He was a helluva good pure stock man, and I'm sure what he learned from all that racing probably cut its share of tenths off your lap times. May he RIP.

Sorry Jim.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

He enjoyed racing with all you guys too Bob. Thank you for all you did for him during his racing career. Same to Mike Miller. You guys were very good to Robert and whether you know it or not he appreciated it very much. I'm glad he was with us to celebrate the championship season we had in 2014. I know it gave him much joy.
