The #5 paragraph of the shock rules says ........(each shock claimed is both shock and hardware)........does this mean the coil over kit if using smooth body shocks?
If so that brings the shock price down a tick.......when trying to decide what to run as far as quality......unless you don't care about losing money if claimed .....or Am I missing something here ?

Toolbox, that's exactly what I am saying... I'll buy the winners shocks and won't comeback...
And where exactly are you going to go? There are two tracks running these cars. People are running $1000 shocks at most tracks. You'd be silly to go after these shocks to race elsewhere. This is just a way to keep people from spending on shocks. If you aren't competitive, I'm pretty sure you could buy the winner's whole car and you still won't be competitive. That's usually the case unless you are an outstanding driver stuck in some truly junk equipment.

onefastcar, it sounds like the only way you could be beat would be with shocks, and in that case you would probably be best not going back. Of the upteen thousand variables that can take a car to the front, shocks are not the only thing.

I wonder how many of these guys rambling on about the cost of shocks have a vested interest in a race car? This is suppose to be an affordable stock car class, I think they should have a $100 claim. I know at least one front runner that would be making 20 bucks on every shock claimed. This is a good idea to help with car counts, if you feel it belittles you or equipement, race someplace else.

I like Claimer rules. People bitch because racing is too expensive. then you bitch because tracks try and implement rules that will keep costs down. If you get upset over a $200 claimer rule then you're the reason why the rule was put into place......Keep on Bitchin!
