If your a racer your in it for personal success, not for fun.  The fun comes from where you find your success.

For some racers depending on their skill and ability to put what's needed to win on a track, the reward can be one almost perfect lap, to make a feature or to finish a race.  For others it can be to become known for the most wins.

The thing is if your a racer you take your highs when ever and from where ever you get them.  Your in it for the highs of racing and to find and stretch your limit towards success.  Your not there for the lows thrown at you by fans.  He won a race, that's it that's all it's about.  But is that all it's about for him?  If he's a racer the answer is no.

From reading his words over years now on here, all I see from him about racing is striving for a higher goal.  He won a race and he's put a new racing challenge on himself, that is what racing is about.  I'm sure he sees his deck building in the same way, with the next deck having to be more rewarding then the last.  Racing is an art the same as building is an art.  The reality is only what the racer or builder see's, of what's being presented for view.  Fans of art can only come to understand what's being presented to them from their level or perspective.  Only the artist be it racer, painter, sculptor or builder, will know the true level of what is presented.

Bob is a great guy and probably would give the shirt off his back if you needed it & to try to talk bad about their work is just moronic , they build decks that should be featured in magazines..... This is a fact Love him or hate him , when he says that they are the best on the planet ..... It's not a lie

His work is pretty good....but, best on the planet? That's quite a strong statement sir. I did some independent research and found TrexPro in Michigan also claims to be the best. Check out JR Construction's work on uTube, also high quality.

Of all of the company's that build decks in the United States , you can only name two others that are comparable ? (I rest my case ). I'd say that is a pretty elite status

That was a 5 minute check. Hell, I could build close to his standards and I am an amatuer. Anyone can build a deck, it's not really that hard.

He probably makes most of his money cause his dad does the books and keeps him in line. Plus his father probably has been in construction for 60 years and pretty much has him trained to do the manual aspects of the business. He isn't special...just fortunate. I grew up in a coalpatch town and I know that half of the persons I grew up with were just as bright or brighter than him. So sorry if I offend..but judging by your standards I am the best at what I do in the last 100 years.

You just made yourself look like an idiot. Jon built his business himself. His dad did not work in construction.

His dad worked for a trucking company and then retired. Now he just works with Jon. If you idiots would actually go and talk to these people at the tracks, there totally different and nice people then what they say on here. You could actually learn a thing or 2!

"If you idiots would actually go and talk to these people at the tracks,"

Use to be there were a lot of fans in the pits talking to drivers and crew, now with the cost of getting in the pits very few fans spend the money to meet and visit with racers and crew.

Thinking about it, it may be a reason for the decline of oval racing in this area and across the country.  What use to get a fan hooked either wanting to help, race or put a car on the track by close contact with racing is gone.  Its gone because it's been priced out of the reach of many if not most, along with not having a race car at many local gas service stations.

If you have a race car maybe you ought to park it up front or on the side yard, instead of in the garage.  Darn that won't even go down now a days with all the restrictive zoning.  What ever happened to this great free country of our's?  I guess the Republicans sold it down the river to make a profit off all the do gooders.  What ever happened to all the shot and a beer Democrats?  Dang shame all the loonies chose to join the Democratic party because it suited them best between the two.  Now all the Republicans are kissin the butt kissers butts because there's money in their pockets.

Just like Crazy Bernie out there saying " Its stupid that the middle class pays the bills to the corporate world " BECAUSE BERNIE SET UP THE HIGHEST CORPORTAE TAXES and Fees IN THE WORLD ! LOL   Looks right in the eyes of those " Stupid American Voters " ( Johnathan gruber ) and says im going to tax more businesse and raise more fees on the businesses that didnt flee yet all for you! and the idiots stand and clap while he has just Urinated across the crowd and then walked backstage and rolled on the ground laughing at how " Stupid " they really are !

It has to be Biblical because it is atomically idiotic to witness what we are witnessing in the Sodomy party these days!

Page after page of responses. The majority I would say are positive remarks. I understand, some of his statements made me laugh, wonder, and realize. Jon as a racer just like many many others, loves the sport.
