I'm asking this on here because this is one of the only two racing sites I visit. What I'm asking is a tough question and I'm curious about answers I may get. The question is not car or car class specific. It deals with something I've discovered about how all LTO's(left turn only's) work. Yes I think I know the answer and if someone posts a decent response and shows knowledge, I may answer them with a private message.
But I think it's something all who race on here or wonder about how cars must be made to work to go around an oval track, might be interested in. The question is simple, the reason behind the question and what I think is the correct answer is extremely complex and takes a high level of knowledge about setup an driving to answer.
Why determines where you set the LR in or out and what determines weather or not your need to move the LR in or out?
Hint: Rim offset can effect the results of moving it in or out, but offset is not about the answer. Offset is excluded because it alters a physical connection... that's enough of a clue, maybe too much of one. One more clue. The clarity of the reasoning behind adjusting a LR in or out, shows itself best in qualifying but is not a function specific to qualifying.
yep another one of them dumb senseless posts.
