Can someone please explain to me why nearly everyone on here loves to bash every race track ever created?  Seriously, what in the hell good does it do?  Do you people really think that by getting on racestud and turning every single post into one form of bashing or another that things are going to change for the better.

Do you really think the people you are bashing are going to think "oh jeeze, so and so on some stupid internet forum thinks i should do it another way.  I just picked to do it this way because i didnt think it out."

Do you really think that the person you are bashing didnt weight the pro's and con's of the decision they made?

Im sure they probably thought long and hard and decided their decision was they best the solution.

Maybe instead of wasting your breath you should spend more time helping these "poor decision makers".  Donate your time and money to the cause.  I personally know that someone with no time or money invested is not going to tell me how to run my business.

If you dont have time or money to donate, then lay the hell off the bashing.  You know what happens when you constantly tell someone they suck? They give up. No one wants to try as hard as they can and constantly get kicked in the sack.  Eventually THEY just walk away.

IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT? THE TRACK OWNERS SHOULD JUST INVEST WHAT MONEY THEY HAVE LEFT IN LOCKS AND CLOSE THE GATES?

come on guys grow up, for being "manly men" there sure are a lot of racers that are whiny bitches.... can i get an amen?!?

Well said, bomber315.  Why waste your time bashing, you do it day in and day out.  The same thing every year.

The easiest thing to do is just not pay attention to it and make your own decisions. I go where I want to see anything, words on a forum don't have any input. The bashing. Don't go. Find something else to do. Mercer, by all accounts just put on a good show. But, if you listen to some on here, it was a night from hell. People think if they bash a certain event it will be good for others to hear there displeasure. Some make comments that have no truth to them or are rumors.

its hard to avoid when the majority of the forum is bashing and/or negative.  I just want to find/ create a forum where people ask "Did you guys see that pass dude1 made on dude2?! that was awesome! does any one have a video?"

Or possibly people get on and offer advice like.  "Hey everyone just wanted to give everyone a heads up, we broke a heim end tonight and junked a bunch of parts.  Don't forget to check your parts weekly guys. We got away with only spending money, but things could have been a lot worse"

Is there any place like that?

I have been on this page for roughly 6-7 years.    During that time, it has always been like this.   First of all, and as a business owner, if you make any decision based upon an internet chat room or other peoples gossip then you are not cut out for the job in the first place.   Asking for change on this site would be like walking into a bar and asking why everyone is drinking.   Your post is no different than drinking one round and then calling out other people in the bar for doing the same.   Your complaining about other people complaining....welcome to Race Stud.

They bash tracks, drivers, a series, prices, food, you name it. They sit behind a keyboard and have no clue what it is like to run a track or race a car. But they sure do know how to complain about it. If there is so much wrong with the sport and you are offended by every thing someone in it does (in your own little perfect world)  Go watch something else.

YES, way too much bashing on here!!!  But that's just the way the world is today!!   That being said, there are some times a track or promoter needs "bashed", like when purses are not paid, checks bounce or there is no ambulance or fire protection at a track.   Such have been reported on here and when they happen the track/promoter needs to be called out!!!    Unfortunately the sport has had its share of Bad Apples over the years!!  But a bit too much dust at a dirt track??  Live with it!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!

Businesses have customers, customers have complaints. A race track is a business, why should it be any different for them?

There is a big difference between what is considered bashing around here, and what bashing actually is. Pointing out the negative is not bashing in and if itself. Sure people can and do take it over the line sometimes, but it's not nearly as much as some around here think.

If tracks would reinvest back into their product instead of putting it all in their pocket, their would be less bashing because the client would see their hard earned money is being reinvested. Example Lernerville new clay and bleachers.

This.

Maybe people disagree when issues are raised. If the resultant conversation is carried out in a dignified manner, all the better. Sometimes people (myself included) take things too seriously and get carried away. I'm willing to try to look at things more objectively now more than ever. However, if there is a reason I might not want to patronize a certain track or a special program, I'd prefer to know in advance. If that ruffles some feathers, then so be it.

In my experience, most people know how to do it better than the person who is doing it. Most of those people could run a corporate buisness which would blow Wal-Mart ot of the water if you ask them. But the fact is that those same people will never get that chance for three reasons.

1. They wont work hard enough for it and complain that they are being held back by corporate America.

2. Their parents didnt turn an existing buisness over to them because their parents were held back by corporate America.

3. Nobody will give them a buisness because they know that once this person takes over the buisness will be closed within a year.

Anyone who owns a buisness knows that there are decisions to be made that are best for the buisness, not best for all parties involved. Unfortunately the people who can do it better cant see that which is why some businesses stay open and some fail quickly.

I think if you would line up most track owner/promotor you would find that FEW IF ANY are lining there pockets with $$$$$. Tracks are struggling. If you don't believe that then your just being unrealistic. In western pa alone there is not enough cars to go around. Track owners have come up with any means of keeping racers at there tracks. The big 3 classes in the area struggle each weekend and hope to have enough cars to bring the fans back.

There is no one reading this that hasn't been to a dirt track.

There is no one posting here that has never had a complaint about a track.

Complaint is one thing, bashing to no end is quite another.  And every little complaint need not be aired out on a message board.  My only problem is with people on here whose every post is bashing this track, that track, this driver, that driver, and otherwise totally negative.  These folks never talk about the racing itself, just like to bitch about people and places. Unfortunately, there are several on Racestuds that fit this bill.

You're right, most of the bashing is someone's opinion, which may or may not be true.
