Where is all the fire safety crews at? Shure don't see any around for much safety?

Toolbox3.   Tow Trucks sit off turn 1 sometimes in backstretch and off turn 4 with a rollback.  Few push trucks are in the infield

 

Smethport Fire Department is off Turn 4 (as they have been for majority of the 30 yrs the track has been open.)

Priority Care Ambulance also sits off Turn 4 (as they have been for majoirty of the 30 yrs the track has been open.)

 

If your familiar with MCR then you know where the safety units sit around the track.  

We do intend to have a FULLY DRESSED member of the Smethport FD on a ATV for our next race in the Infield as well.

 

We did have a mini stock on fire and it was promptly put out in time by Smethport FD with no injuries to the driver.  As he got out of his car on his own power.  So YES WE DO TAKE SAFETY SERIOUSLY AT McKEAN COUNTY RACEWAY!

The atv in the infield is a great thing next week! BUT turn 2 is a long way away from turn 4 when or if the track is blocked in turn 4. Like I said not a lot of fire suits in corners as you ran! AND yes I've been their before and TOW TRUCKS aren't fire trucks.......
