If that low doesn't move pretty far off the coast we will all be rained out. The wrap around moisture will wipe out all of PA most likely. Bummer.

We can look at the weather and of course blame it on that. Or we can actually call a spade a spade and say that the Miley's haven't touched the track in about 6 months.
They actually put dirt on the front straightaway and need to grade the track and pack it down.

6 months? That's good for PPMS.
My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

The weather does not look promising, but in the past when it looked bad, Miley never canceled on Thursday. That would tell me the track is not ready for racing just yet. With Brian U health issues, I am not sure who will even be working on the track. I believe him and his father did most of the track prep work. They didn't race all of April, and at least 2 weeks for sure they could have raced. So they shortened the season by a month, and now the first scheduled show is already canceled. Could dark days be ahead?

What I don't get is if you own a track, shouldn't you put a ton of effort into getting it race ready? The saying is, you get out of it,what you put in to it. The place has not seen a race since last September! That is over 7 months! How can you pay the bills by racing for a few months. The place is on its last leg this yr and will e specials only if even that in the future. On the other hand you got Lernerville that is the Eldora of the area.

Great news, it is good to see things are still at the same level as previous years! And the dip in the front straight has begun to get fixed. It's a great day for racing indeed! ...............And late models are back!!

If you own a place of business and your main employee is out with health issues, what do you do?
1. nothing
2. go out and find someone else who can do this work so everything can be business as usual.
If you think option 1 is good then I suspect you never were a good business person.

Mud boggin' is the hot deal now, maybe he is movin' in that direction. All ya need to make a profit is muck and beer. And there isn't a bunch of people writing bad things about ya on Racestud.
