I know I will take a beating for this but am I the only one who felt like a hostage last night. Why would they run two support divisions before the All Star feature? I have a 1 1/2 hour ride And work at 7:00 am. I went to see sprint cars not support divisions. I hope Turkey is doing fine he went for a wild ride, and stop messing with the track and killing time. Don Martin was most likely smiling last night because his track had a heavy cushion that it almost never has, It looked like the first time I saw the place with the WOO I believe 88 was the year,. It was nice to see sprints flying around not sliding off the top, like it was when Don ran the show. Wish that last caution didn't come out, it would have been a spectacular finish. Now fire away.

What's there to fire away about??

You went knowing there were two support divisions being run. You had two choices. Either go and deal with it or stay home. You picked to go and be "held hostage". Next time stay home....

I agree 100% did everyone see how many people were leaving. I'll not return. NO REASON TO RUN SUPPORT CLASSES FIRST. I also had 1.5 hour ride home and work in AM. POLISH 2 They can beat us up all they want Lastnight was ridiculous.

Right, they should run the dash and the consy and just have the drivers stay in their cars without a break or the chance to clean and tweak the cars.  That will make for a much better and quicker race.  [/sarcasm].

As for the track work, again same thing.  If you think the night was long as it was imagine if half the field did exactly what Sphithaler did, and turn just a little too hard against the cushion, only this time it was because the cushion was just swallowing them up.

So far this year, Lernerville has taken in a lot of moisture.  The clay is new, wet and heavy.  If they don't do the work drivers will get hurt, or worse.  I for one appreciate the track work.

Even Don Martin and Ouch Roenick would not be able to make the track like they used to.  They aren't allowed to use calcium chloride.  Apparently it's safe for PennDOT use but not Lernerville.  That changed the track.  I have my criticisms of Gary Risch, but his track crew is not one of those criticisms.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Next time don't go. I thought it was great to run them last. They were the main event. I don't understand why people would pay 25 dollars just to watch one race. That isn't a true race fan. It also allows for fans to get up close with their favorite drivers in the pits after the race. I think they should do that every Friday. Run the main attractions last.

OH, and the guy on the minibike telling Lernerville it needed more work, has the ability to make sure that the All Stars don't come back.  You've probably seen him on television.

*Bad spelling and piss poor grammar intended*

Yesterday:

This is the best track ever!

I've been there every Friday since the track opened.

What time do gates open?

I hope Tony Stewart comes.

Are the rain checks I have from 1987 still good?

Did yinz cancel the races yet?

Will Danny Holtzgraver have his new shirts for sale?

Can I bring my own cooler of Natural Ice?

Today:

Racing/track prep/order of events at Learnerville was rediculous last night blah blah blah

They're running the place into the ground blah blah blah

Gary should be fired blah blah blah

Don Martin is rolling in his grave blah blah blah

I'm never going back blah blah blah

Next Friday:

This is the best track ever!

I've been there every Friday since the track opened.

What time do gates open?

Are the rain checks I have from 1987 still good?

Did yinz cancel the races yet?

Can I bring my own cooler of Natural Ice?

Read every comment as:  "I have nothing better to do than constantly seek attention from strangers on racestud by making pointless posts and complaining about things that I have no idea no clue the f*ck I'm talking about, but hopefully a bunch of people will reply so I can make more rediculous comments back in response to theirs"

Further, a "hoastage" situation is when someone is threatening your life, you physically cannot leave without risking your life.

The All Stars determined the order of events last night, not the track.  They should have run the All Star qualifying, then support hot laps, then sprint heats, then stock heats, then dash & B, then Mods heat, then Sprint A, then support A's, but they didn't.  If the worst thing you had to do was spend an extra hour at the track last night, I bet anyone in a true "hoastage" situation would gladly trade you places.

It's called Red Bull, by two cans, go to work, and please shut, the hell, up!

Must admit I was disappointed that sprints were last. Especially after the long break for track prep.Yes, I could have stayed home but I also have the right to be disappointed by the shenanigans of putting what everyone came to see last.

I was at dog hollow till shortly smarter midnight last night, and left with 2 features to go had nearly an hour drive home and also wanted to shoot the alarm clock at 4:30 this morning.

But the big difference is I'm not on here bitching. I got up had a coffee or 3 and went to work happy that I got to spend Friday night at the races. And that the track crew put in the work to make an awesome surface considering all the rain we have got recently.

Late nights are a part of the sport. Be glad you got to go, or stay home I really don't care.

And I understand people complaining that they were last but the reason the support classes were there was to give the sprint drivers time to work. And to clean the track off so the sprints weren't trying to qualify on a plowed field. There are reasons for the order that things are done.

That, IMHO, deserves public approval, so here it is.

Why shouldn't the main event be last?
You only had 3 divisions.
It just pisses me off hearing people whine about BS like this.
If anyone should Bitch it's the Support divisions, they have to pay the extra money to get in but get the same payout?
So quit bitchin, sit back, relax and watch the races!

I'm glad the sprints were last as i got to see the cars and drivers afterwards. That's a good thing for REAL fans. Thank you Tony & Lernerville for a great night of racing.

...and I thought the crate mods put on a good race.  Sportsman wasn't too bad either.  I found Kelly crying about someone running him almost as dirty as he runs everyone else ironic, but I don't expect anything else from him.

I can't believe how many people that go to Lernerville, & see all the Lernerville signs & advertising, yet still don't know how to spell it!! It's L-E-R-N-E-R-V-I-L-L-E, not 'Learnerville' or 'Lernersville' !!! There's my 2 cents for today!! & By the way, even though it was a late night, I thought it was a great show overall....the sprint car feature was excellent, despite Eric William's wreck (very thankful to hear he'll be ok). & yes, I also have a 2 hour ride home.....not every night can or will be an early one, but it comes with the territory. A night at the races amongst some of the best friends one can ask for is always worth it!! B)

When in doubt....GAS IT!!

Hostage?   Are you not a race fan?  I think this is ridiculous.  If you are gonna pay to watch races, then watch them...................ALL.   Granted, now that the sportsman are running crate motors and the rush mod are follow the leader most of the time too.   As far as your hour and half ride, that's you problem and you knew that goin in.

I enjoyed the show.   The top class doesn't always have to run first as long as the show is done by a decent time, which it was.
