Powell won lates.. ... Brian Rhed won Stocks.. 79 won sprints (Set a new track record).. Tim Fannin won limiteds.. Not a ton of cars 12-15 maybe in each class except limiteds.. Lots of guys saying they weren't ready yet. For that bashing they took on here for putting clay down late.. Track was fast and racey. Multiple grooves all night... Stocks and lates were some really awesome racing!

Decent show. The surface was very good for the short time it was down. Lots of grooves with only a few bumps. No rolling or rutting. Only 37 cars for a mid-May race is kinda troubling. I hope the car counts get better. The wreckers are slow as they always are but two things really troubled me. Opening night and a ripped up American flag. Really guys!!! And the driver who got out and put out his own fire before the fire dept go to the scene. After we lost a racer just last month to a car on fire I think this really needs to be addressed. Good opening show overall
Agreed on the flag. I noticed that too. The driver didn't put out his own fire, he got out and stared at it. That tells me he doesn't have an extinguisher in the car. That's as much on him as the track. Then he apparently didn't fix the issue because it was on fire again later in the night. Tracks need to step up safety, but drivers aren't doing much either.
