Why don't tracks like PPMS & Sharon run their show Sunday if they get rained out Saturday ? I know that they used to at least try ...... They have no competing tracks that run Sunday in the area . I think this was a good idea , just start early so the people can get home early

Attendance was too low to make it profitable @ PPMS.

With modern communication and social media you could really cash in on the racing junkies.... and get you track watered well... free. A purse built on attendance(fan/car) and a non traditional racing format could be just the hype/change up the sport needs. It would definitely take an improvisational promoter.

On the front just blurting that out is a good idea, then you have to consider all the employees that the track must have in place todo such. Most of the employees have already committed every Saturday night to the track, and thats a pretty big commitment.

Yeah, no one considers that officials and employees might make other plans for Sunday's, (racers too). Its hard enough to find replacements in advance, let alone on the spur of the moment.

And I truly appreciate all the workers, they are the unsung hero's of this sport, From crew to gate keeper to fire person to scorer, we all love it and the good friends we have made, and lost thru the years. We need some good young people to help replace the great ones we have lost.

Yes Pittsburgh tried Sunday rain dates for awhile but the attendance was lower then what a normal saturday night crowd was (which was low to begin with).

Many tracks have tried this in the past and it must not have been too profitable for them or they would still be doing it.

The track support people are junkies as well, I doubt many are making much, if anything for their work, dedication, risks  and devotion. It's an addiction.

Not a blurt, an attempt to get everyone their fix. Really not an option once you get into summer, but for spring weather it can be done with a good lead.

I disagree.Maybe when they were younger, but not so much anymore. One of the upcoming problems at a lot of tracks is officials are getting older and retiring. And younger people are not stepping up and replacing them.
