I make it to Eriez when ever I can if there's not a Sprint race within four plus a little from me.  First time there this year and it was GREAT fun watching.  Involved race fans, racers and former racers around me and the audible crowd reaction to things on the track was like a sound track put onto a televised race.  I'm hooked on the place and it's now the go to place for me on Sundays, possibly making me ditch a longer drive to watch sprints because of the great racing.  Though not fast like sprints, the Super Lates were enough faster then the rest to set them apart, as being the big fast stuff last night.  I can see from being there how fans not exposed to Sprints and only seeing Supers as the fast stuff, can get totally into Super Lates and other Lates.  They will definitely get enthused and become Late Model fans, with the GREAT racing presented to them which I got to see yesterday at Eriez Speedway.  ... wow, I can't wait to go back!

Made my first trip to Eriez, the three hour drive was well worth it! 6 classes and done at 10:30. A well run show, well done! Thanks...

It's like that pretty much every week! Track is almost always smooth and racy! They are great owners/ppl to work with. Next week is a rush series race and they always get a great car count for those

The racing was pretty good. The bad part was having to deal with all the junk classes being run first. Moved start time back because they dropped a class, which does help the track surface, but like Lernerville, hold people hostage to see the main divisions. A quick reminder of why I only attend specials anymore. Not that they can't be painful at times, but usually run headline division earlier in program. Everybody says to support local racing, which we should. But when you have to be up at 5am to work 10 hour days, starting the week Monday after a long nite at a local track is difficult. Guess I'm not as young as I used to be.

I agree u still got the people in the stands let the main division run first. Track was awesome had a great time just the 2-1/2 tow home gets ya loved the track and the way it was ran. Very clean place and safety Crew were awesome to. Very professional there. I give it 2 thumbs up

The Lernerville situation you're referring to was a special.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

i believe eriez rotates there divisions. if you have specials, they run 2nd in line. stockers are always first, because they run first in heats, help run in the track, so are rewarded with the best surface. but lm's aren't always last. and the racing there has been the best of any track i've been to this year. i mean even those front wheel drive guys raced like it was a million bucks to win......lol. good for eriez to have people talking it up.

Both the econo mods, and front wheel drive class where running specials, every other night, the front wheel drive class is last

What is this held hostage nonsense?  No one is held hostage at a race track.  If you don't want to be there leave, or better yet, just don't go.  I like a good sprint car/late model race, but I'll watch go karts and micros if the racing is good.

For years now, until this year, the sportsman/stock division has been the best racing at Lernerville on most nights, and nobody knew it because they all tried to beat the crowd out the gate together.  But that worked for me.  I got to see the best racing and all the drunks were already gone.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Yep, Sharon Speedway is the only track I ever left after seeing the prelims, because I couldn't handle the long drawn out half time and it's boring annoying moana tone announcer.  I forgot, is squeeeky the fill in the bull still there too?  The real sad part of the story is the next time I went there it was the same deal and I again left without seeing a feature.  Except for a special show or if it's the last resort on a Saturday night, I have not gone there again.

edit:  maybe it's better this year, I don't know but I sure hope so

I probably went there steady with the family for 10 years.  We sat on the same row and just to the inside under the air conditioner, just in case it ever fell.  Funny thing was the seats fell before the air conditioner fell.  :)

You think you know what boring and annoying is?  You should try sitting beside you.  Fairly certain, at this point, I had the misfortune of sitting beside you at Expo, and while I tried to do updates you prattled on about one thing or another.  At the end of the night you said, maybe I'll see you tomorrow for the big block show.  I just stayed home.

Was he carrying around what appears to be an antique boat seat? If so, that's him.
