They should really look into the safety of the track. 94r was upside down for quite some time with out anyone rushing to see if they were ok. It's inexcusable

Having one wrecker takes forever to get the track cleaned up. Having no ambulance is just crazy. In the event of a serious accident many lives are at risk. There should be no reason for one of the infield staff not to be at the wreck as soon as cars are all stopped. But the week before it was a good show.

How does a insurance co. give coverage and there's no ambulance present ? Is there a fire truck ? Or trained people with fire bottles ?

Thank you for your concern. Before this topic gets out of hand i wish to clear this up.

We hire a Fire Company to cover our safety. Within the structure of the fire company there are also four (4)  EMT's stationed at the track on any given night. This is in addition to the ambulance service on call only a short distance from the track. Safety is always a primary concern for us at the speedway.

We notice we had some issues last Friday with delayed time in recovery and will address any concerns. Thank you for your support!

I'm not picking on Thunder Mountain with this comment so please don't think that I'm here to bash. Many many tracks thru out the back woods of the U.S.A. have started doing this. The ambulance services charge a fair amount of money (from what I was told) to come to the track and many nights they just sit there and are not needed. This is all well and good but on those few nights when something serious happens they are worth their weight in gold. While most of not all fire depts have EMT's within their dept, that is not the same. If you are in a wreck on the highway and do anything more than breakout a headlight they have an ambulance respond. Why is that?? There must be a reason that the state mandates that. Look at most of the wrecks that happen on the track and they are no big deal. But on those few times a year that something "major" happens. Help is only 20 minutes away. This is an accepted practice at most of the small events but if you get to a bigger race or event they are always there with one if not two ambulances

I think Thunder Mountain had a beautiful racing surface all night long with some great racing in all classes. Other than the exception up to super late models. Which you would hope for the better drivers out of the bunch but they have proven not to be. Kudos to all the other drivers at the track
