I already talked with Matt Miley and they promised me the best track and as little dust possible for Laboon Memorial.Race.  It is definitely on their radars and they responded right away.  No worries here.

And we have a lot of rain coming Thursday and Friday, and now I see less humid and 81 on Saturday.  Track should be great.

2016 ELM procedures:

 

Any new cars must pull a pill.  Highest pill gets added to the first open/uneven B main available.
For instance, if B main 3 only has 9 cars return and the other B mains have 11 show up, the first 2 pill draws will go to B main 3.  Then the 3rd pill car will get added to B main 1, and so on.

 

Pits will be open early afternoon.  If bands are not being sold yet for early arrivals, the Mileys will do a sweep in the pits and do bands around 4 PM.

Tech- 4PM start.

Hot Laps- 6 PM.

Racing 7PM.

B mains- 10 laps.

Ed Laboon Memorial- 20 laps, $3,017 to win.  Depending on time and track prep, we may do driver introductions.  I will coordinate with Smokey if possible.

All cars that DNQ for the A main can race in the Dobs Auto NQ race.  15 laps, $517 to win.

 

Any drivers that do not return, DNS/DNQ get $50 tow money.

Vince, the idea of having a quick hot lap session after the dash is perfect...and needed. Thanks for getting all the above information organized and taking into consideration these small details. Can't wait to get this show in!

I looked for a crate engine to rent or borrow for the weekend but I'm not coming up with anything. So we are down for another week I'm bummed we can't make the trip down.

Why not This would show people your"re the bad guy on the block. Also it would help a fellow racer out. Crate or non-crate you are all in racing together. And if i remember i don"t think i ever read any comments made by 2930 about crates. Hope someone comes through and helps you out. Sure would suck for you to miss it after getting locked in the A-Main. Good Luck.

Hey deitz. I have said from day one. I am not a fan of crates. I have also said there good for late model racing. People cannot afford SLM cars anymoree. I am by no means a fan of RUSH. They can give away motors. Why not help a racer that I'm sure would like to be there Saturday ? I am not a fan of series take overs in racing. I, can you get it, I, enjoy getting my hands dirty and building my motors. I take pride in the motor I build. That is a hole subject that everyone has a opinion on. I am dam sure they can hook this guy up with someone to get him on the track. Do you have a spare motor ? If so, why not help a fellow racer out. If I had one sitting there he would be there racing saturday.
