Thunder Mountain Speedway’s June 17th Kelly Chrysler 358 Modified special will see a higher than normal payout for the class. A whopping $1,000.00 will go to the winner of the 25 lapper. June 17th will be the first of three appearances for the 358 mods at Thunder Mountain in 2016. With this payout a good sized field of cars is to be expected. Other classes running that night will be the Sprint warriors, Street Stocks, and the new Semi Late division. For more information please visit www.blmotorsports.net

While this is a great idea, I would not look for a very big field.  Mercer has had 9, 11 and 13 cars for their first three races this year.  The class is slipping in our area!!  Maybe what is needed is a second track running the class weekly on Friday nights!!   To me a 358 weekly class at Thunder Mt. would make a lot more sense than this "Semi-Late" class now being run at Thunder Mt, and Hummingbird.  It appears that class is more than a Street Stock but less than a Limited Late Model??  I see no need for such a class between the other two which has to pull possible cars from both the others!!   Overall, too many classes is why so many tracks are hurting for cars in their Street Stock class!!  Give the fans something a bit different, not three or four classes of full fender cars!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!

Walt

i think a $1000 to win is pretty decent....but i don't have very high hopes either, ill be happy with 15 or so...they are doing a pretty good job on facebook advertising so hopefully that pays off but i also said the same thing because at first they were supposed to be a weekly class then he pulled back to just the 3 shows

That is a great move!!!   The RUSH Sportsman Modified class has had 24-25 cars at Sharon for the past three weeks!!  This is a growing class and it will bring new younger drivers into the big block Mods on down the line and also give the BB Mod guys a place to sell their cars without going to New York.   Never been to Thunder Mountain, but Bo  should think about this class as a weekly division!!   Drop some of those fender stocks and add the RUSH Mods!!!

GOOD RACING!!!!

Walt
