(Mars, PA)  Miley Motor Sports has increased the prize money for the upcoming Diehl Automotive “UFo Herb Scott Championship” on Saturday, June 11.  The 41 lap UFo Super Late Model championship will now pay $4,000 to win, and $400 for 24th.   Up to 30 cars will still start the feature depending on car count.

The Diehl Automotive UFo “Herb Scott Championship” has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 11 and will honor the Pittsburgh-area racing icon.  This will mark the return of the UFo Super Late Models at Dirt’s Monster Half-Mile, for the first time since 2012.   The 41 lap UFo Super Late Model championship will pay $4,000 to the winner, $400 for 24th and $150 for non-qualifiers.     The starting grid at PPMS will be based on car count up to a 30 car starting field.  A standard 24-car starting grid will be the minimum number of cars to start the feature.  If the total car count hits 30 cars, two more feature positions will be added for a total of 26 cars.   For 35 cars, 28 will start and for 39 cars, 30 will start.   Starting positions from 25th to 30th will pay $300 if utilized.

RUSH Crate Late Models, Sportsman, Hobby Stocks and Young Gun 4-cylinders will also be on the racing program.   PPMS will use will required American Racer 44 or harder or Hoosier 15/1300 or harder tires with a 36 minimum punch at their UFo events.   PPMS requires AMB (red) transponders.

The “Monster Half-Mile” at PPMS is known for its wide, sweeping configuration. Two, three and even four-wide racing is common on the track that is the northeastern home of the six-wide salute.

While the payoff has been increased, the previously announced ticket prices will remain the same.  Admission will be $25 grandstands, seniors 60+ $24, juniors 13-16 $15, children 6-12 $5, and pits $40.   Reserved parking is available for $10 extra.   UFo Super Late Models will have a $25 entry fee deducted from the final payoff.  On June 11 at PPMS, gates will open at 5 PM with warm-ups at 6 PM and racing at 7 PM

The $1.00 discount for seniors is hilarious. WHY ? Flat soda, food (if that's what you call it) you have to be brave to eat. I won't put the bad mouth on anyone. BUT, it is a shame were that place is. What it was to where it is today, so unfortunate.
