This past Saturday I was in Delaware for my Grandson's high school graduation.  While there I decided to visit one of my favorite tracks, Delaware International Speedway.

They ran 7 divisions (2 were features only), started at 7:30, did ontrack interviews, and I was walking out of the track at 11:00.

The surface was as smooth as glass and while sitting in the pit grandstand outside of turn 4 I didn't get any dust until the 4th or 5th feature.

Want to see how to run a show ?  Visit DIS.

Why do I like racing ? Well the colors are bright and there is a lot of movement, so it holds my attention.

I have been to Lernerville and more that 80% of the time they pull that off too. In fact a majority of tracks do that any more as long as weather and drivers cooperate.  Not sure what you are point is but maybe you should move there or drive there every week............................................jackwagon

And you've never shared your experiences with anyone????   With that comment,  I'd say you are the jackwagon.

I grew up on the W.PA. circuit so I know all those tracks very well.  I still visit them as well.  I did live in DE for 13 years and split my Saturdays between DIS and Bridgeport.

Just saying DIS ia a great little facility and if you get a chance ti visit it, do so.  I don't think you will be disappointed.

By the way it is Big Block Modified country. When I started going there they were running 700 inch motors with injection, want to talk about wicked racecars ?

They are more "normal" now.

Regular show is BB Mods, Super Lates, Crate Mods, Crate Lates, and Mod Lites.  The crate classes run under track rules, no sanctioning.

Sounded like with last statement of his experience "Want to see how to run a show ?  Visit DIS."  He was saying that doesn't happen in Western PA and I was sticking up for the tracks in the area.  I stand corrected.   I did check out the website and Big Blocks are a class I enjoy so if every out that way I will definitely check it out.

have been to this track several times, it was a pretty good show.  wasn't real impressed with the modifieds sledding around in the sand. buzz boxes were fun to watch turned the same lap times as the big blocks.

also enjoyed watching and making fun of all the backward fans that go to this place.  i couldn't believe how many trailer trash window lickers live in delaware, it was like i was in wv and southern ohio.
