I am and have been a life long Sprint Car fan and am encouraged by the passion these young drivers express in their lives , there are quite a few from our immediate area that have the desire to persue their Dreams and I am not sure we are giving them the support the should have.

Case in point Andy Fiel has come back from a very serious injury with the dream of following the BOSS Series and not racing a full schedule inthe local area In my humble opinion he should be congratulated for this he is not abandoning us he is following his dream and the wonderful part is he has the full support of his Dad &Mom shouldnt we do the same for him.

The next few names will be very familiar to most of you and they also have choosen to spread their wings and live their dream and I want to support them in any way possible.

AdamKeckich ,Brandon Matus, A J Flick, Carl Bowser, Brandon Spithaler  this is only a short list of some of the most talented and great young drivers and I am sure unless we live life on the edge we will never be able to experience anything but unfulfilled life .

I need to add a few more names and ask you to post those you support with your passion for Sprint Car Racing whether here at home or when the branch out to deal with their dreams.

Paden ,Englert,Bova, Houghbaugh, and the list goes on and on so instead of freeing because the arent at your track support them where they are and they may come back to your track.

Let's not forget Zach Morrow.  Starting to get more comfortable in the sprint car, picking up his first heat race win at PPMS a couple of weekends back.

It's always tough when local legends like Lynch, George, Felmlee, Hawley, etc. decide to hang up the helmet, but it's cool to see some young blood in the sport.  Sprint car racing seems to be doing pretty well in Western PA so far this year.

I was just gonna say Zach. Even though he is not yet in the class of those other drivers.  He tries very hard to keep up on a minimal budget.

They aren't getting the deserved recognition they desrerve because all the western pa tracks have turned their backs on sprint car racing in general, thus not fostering the talent of these young bucks

What tracks turned their backs on sprint cars?? Lernerville and Mercer still run them and have various specials for them.

Tri-City runs a specials only schedule. Sportsmans and Challenger are closed. PPMS, Sharon, and Thunder Mountain are all hosting specials for sprints. Also nothing is stopping them from hitting the road and running some of the Central Pa. tracks which some are taking advantage of when they can.

Please explain your comment....

Add Tyler denochick and Will Fleming to that list. Tyler doesn't even have a drivers license yet and has won multiple races at Thunder Mountain. Will also has feature wins!

Car counts have been growing every week. Looking forward to the second half of the season.

Good point being brought up about the lack of recognition for these young drivers. This has frustrated me for quite some time .Take a look at the racing recap story from Sharon Speedway following an evening of racing. They do a fantastic job of telling a detailed story along with interesting driver interviews.Compare that to Lernerville and Mercers racing recap and you get a very limited story.Fans don,t know who some of these drivers are or how they improving each week, and believe me they are improving.Tracks need to keep the fans and drivers  engaged and there is no better media to do that with than their website.

I have a rookie driver this year that has pulled off a few top 5's with little time in the car yet, if we finish the year well we will be looking at running a 410 next year.

Being a winged sprint car fan I like seeing young guns stepping up and taking on these wicked fast cars, It would be great to see western Pa. have the reputation it once had. A area that the ASCOC started, where drivers would go to central Pa. and win the Williams Grove Nationals, even in recent years beat the WOO at one of there biggest races. The big problem is funding to keep these young guys on the track, hopefully we are on a up swing in sprint car racing and our area will continue to regain strength.

Don't forget Sye Lynch, who is now out in the family owned car, renumbered 24x. He's doing decently for a guy with very limited experience, and he's a helluva nice young man. Go Sye!

If you missed the Boss race at Lernerville last night it was a great example of the young drivers and their talent AJ Flick second his first time wingless and many more in a stellar field of 32 Sprint cars and some were 305s  just proof that in this Old School Racing all can be competive.Lets hear the fans make them feel appreciated.

Young Mr. Morrow is really starting to have some impressive runs.  He was real fast last night at PPMS, and who knows what might have happened had he not crashed.  His performance has  been much improved at Lernerville this past month also.  Lots of promising young driver in the local Sprint ranks.
