There were 31 Late Models, 12 Semi-Lates, and 17 Crates.  The track was fine, not as much passing as I usually see at DH.   My only complaint, there were too many divisions.  I left at midnight, and there were still 4 features to run.  Very nice crowd.

Late Model Feature:

1.       Mason Zeigler (43A)

Let me rephrase. The track itself was in great shape, yes. The management of the track was terrible. The first of 6 features was done at 11:30 plus they had an enduro to run after those. If the management had the track ready there should be no need to water it or take a 30-45 minute intermission. My guess is racing wasn't done until 3am or after.

Everything was running well until the drawn out intermission with the track being watered. I also left at midnite

With an almost 2 hr ride home I had know choice. I had to leave to get home safe and miss what I paid to see. I'm not a regular there so it's not a big deal to them but, I most likely will never be back.

Same shit different day at that place for a special. They sure do drag their feet getting started and their long intermission sucks.

They started right on time, and if they hadn't watered the track at intermission, the feature racing would have been much worse.  I didn't mind the intermission, just too many divisions.

They did start on time and with a 45 minute intermission the show ran 8 hours and 40 minutes.  LOL

I agree that the track would have been worse if they hadn't watered it at intermission.  I am saying if the track was properly prepared for this event then they shouldn't have had to water it at all during the event.  Most track crews are on their tracks several times through the week preparing for even a weekly show.  My guess is that the Dog Hollow staff started working the track sometime on race day.  I did hear they added clay last week so they did some work but that was more to get the clay down.  If they did add clay I will give them props on that because the track did look super smooth - from my grandstand view.
