FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“The 60th” at Stateline Features a Massive Payoff with Bargain Pricing!

Please not that this event while this event will not carry UFo points, we are happy to assist this great track in promoting their event!

(Strongstown, PA) The New Stateline Speedway has set the details for their huge 60th anniversary event on Thursday, July 21.  “The 60th” will pay $40,000 to Super Late Model teams with a $10,060 top prize.  “The 60th” will also have excellent grandstand ticket pricing, further making this one of the top-rated events on 2016.

The New Stateline Speedway was purchased at the end of last year by partners Jim and Jean Scott and Brian Horner, and has already returned to its premier status. The new ownership has made huge amount of improvements and renovations at the 1/3 mile supertrack.  A brand new racing surface, all new lighting, new tech building, concession renovations, and bathroom and bleacher improvements are just some of the tasks they have already accomplished.

“The 60th” will showcase all of their amazing work with one of the region’s highest paying one day events.   The Super Late Models will race for $10,060 to win, $500 to start with $200 for non-qualifiers.  The Super Late Model championship feature will go 60 laps in honor of the track’s anniversary.  A strong payoff has been posted throughout the starting grid in order to attract the best drivers in the region to challenge the ultra-competitive northern tier Super Late Model pilots.  Also on the racing program are the E-mods paying $700 to win and the Street Stocks paying $500 to win.

While the drivers are being rewarded with a powerful payoff, fans are being rewarded with bargain ticket pricing.  The grandstand ticket price for this event will be only $20.   Seniors 62+, military with ID and college students with college ID will be admitted for only $10.   Juniors 6-16 will pay only $8 to see the event.  All pit tickets will be $40 with a reminder that the minimum pit age is 14.    Super Late Models will have a $xx entry fee, deducted from final payoff.

The new racing surface at Stateline has generated amazing racing action this season.   The 35 lap championship in May had 6 lead changes among 5 drivers with David Scott of Garland, PA coming out on top.  On July 2, Rich Gardner won by .05 seconds in a photo finish over Rob Blair.   Max Blair of Centerville, PA claimed the opening night championship feature as well as another win in June.  Dutch Davies of Warren, PA, Doug Eck of Corry, PA and Darrell Bossard of Centerville, PA have also claimed wins in 2016 in the Super Late Models.

Pit gates will open a 4:00 with grandstands opening at 5:00.  Drivers meeting/pill draw cutoff is set for 7:00 with racing at 7:30.  The rain date for “The 60th” is Saturday, July 23.

I heard Chub, Boom, and possibly Eckert.

Also would be shocked to see Clanton, Satterlee, possibly Zeigler Miley and King? I'd like to see Covert and a few of the other eastern PA guys make the trip.

Impossible! How could Max possibly win against some top notch competition? Nice to see the weekly cars cover the top 5.

Or, now he can afford to get his motor freshened and race wherever the f he feels like racing. Wasn't that long ago his haters were saying he'd never compete in supers. He was only going to be a crate racer. Now you won't be happy til he's beating bloomquist and Davenport every night. Give credit where it's due. Unless you are beating him yourself there's not a lot you can say that holds any value.

Not all that upset. Not even a big fan. Just pointing out how blairs (and everyone else's) haters always have something to say whether they are hugely successful or struggling horribly.

Were you expecting Davenport Richards and Bloomer???

There was Chub Boom and Satterlee as far as travelers go.

Then on a more local/regional level there was Hess, Eck, both Blairs, Oakes, Valone, Miley, Pegher, Martin, and Yoder.

So from looking at that list I'm not exactly sure what you were expecting. Those are the best that our area has to offer. Sure you could have thrown Lake, Zeigler, and Covert into the mix but would that have really changed the outcome? I guess we will never know!
