With a half-dozen or more tracks rained out again this past weekend, there weren't a whole lot of changes in the points The one big change was in the Stock Cars where Chris Schneider, last year's winner, won a big $1,000 to win triple point race at Sharon and moved in front of Fuzzy Fields. However only by a single point, 57 to 56, as Fields won an unconfirmed race at McKean County and finished second at Thunder Mountain. I gave Fields his points for the win, bearing on conformation from McKean County officials as Thursday's race is yet to be listed on their website!! Schneider and Fields have pulled away from Nate Smith and the rest of the top drivers and it appears to be a two driver race here, which favors Schneider with his past record in big races at such tracks as Sharon, Mercer and Pittsburgh.
SPRINT CARS....Jack Sodeman, Jr. won at Mercer to pad his lead and now leads by 24 points.
LATE MODELS......Max Blair padded his overwhelming lead with a second in the $5,000 to win race at Stateline and now has a 62 point lead which would be nearly impossible to overcome!!
MODIFIEDS........No change, still Rex King, Jr. over Erick Rudolph by 7 points
LIMITED LATE MODLES......No change, still Max Blair by 18 points over Damian Bidwell
LIMITED MODIFIEDS......No change, still David Scott over Joel Watson by 12 points.
LIMITED SPRINT CARS......Andy Priest lost one point to Jacob Gomola, but still leads by 9. Priest was 4th in the FAST special at Mercer, but points only go to the top three. Gomola was 3rd at Thunder Mountain to gain a point.
Points continue through the Stampede at Lernerville in October
GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!
