The “Butch Renninger 33” pays tribute to the three time Late Model track champion. Butch captured track championships in the beginning years of the division at Port Royal in 1966, 1967 and 1970. Butch is fourth on the all-time track Late Model winner’s list with 41 victories.

The 33 lap feature will pay $3,300 to win in honor of Butch’s car number.  $33/lap will be paid to the leader of the race.  Additional sponsorship payoffs will be announced this week.   The race will pay $300 to start and non-qualifiers will receive $150.   The mighty 410 Super Sprints will be in competition for $3,200 to win along with the Econo-Lates and Xtreme Stocks.  This event will require Hoosier 1300 or American Racer 44 or harder, with a minimum hardness of 36.   All other UFo tire specifications will apply.

Port is scheduled on the same night as Lernerville this year.  It was the same situation last year.  Port's date works well for them as it is their first day of their county fair, and this event is the traditional start of the fair.

Dog Hollow is actually the night after.

The Port Royal/Selinsgrove area guys don't really travel to Lernerville and vice versa. I don't see it being too much of an issue.

In fact might help both tracks!!  Outsiders could come in and run all three nights!!  Lernerville Friday-Saturday and Dog Hollow Sunday.  One might even see a couple of the WoO regulars stick around and run on Sunday as well as Lernerville??

Would make for a great Labor Day weekend for both fans and race teams.

GOOD RACING!!!

Walt
