Tri-City Raceway Park will honor the memory of Sprint Car driver Bryan Clauson at their two remaining events (Sunday, September 11th and September 18th) with the "BC Furever" fundraiser.  Everyone who attends the two events is asked to bring a donation for the Venango County Humane Society.  All of the items will then be donated to the shelter in memory of Clauson.

"We wanted to do something to recognize Bryan as he was a great ambassador for the sport.  In addition he was also a great animal lover and his four legged family members, Chevy and Stewie, were always in attendance when he was racing so something animal related seemed like a natural fit," commented co-promoter Chad Wagner.  "We contacted Bryan's fiancée, Lauren Stewart, to get her permission to proceed with the fundraiser and then reached out to Heather Hacherl, the Manager of the Humane Society to get a list of items that are in greatest need at this time.  Racing fans are so generous and we are hoping that they come through and show their support for Bryan Clauson and the Venango County Humane Society at both events."

The following items are currently needed at the Venango County Humane Society:

  • Purina Kitten Chow
  • Pet Shampoo
  • Non Clumping Cat Litter
  • Collars and Leashes (All Sizes)
  • Blue Dawn Dish Detergent
  • Paper Towels
  • Scrubbing Bubbles
  • Clorox Wipes
  • Glade Plug In Air Fresheners
  • Copy Paper

A table will be set up for the collection of these items at both the September 11th and September 18th events.  In addition, Tri-City Raceway Park fans, drivers and crew members in attendance will be able to sign a huge banner and offer their sympathies and words of encouragement to the Clauson Family at the table.  A Basket Auction will also be held at both events with the proceeds being donated to the Venango County Humane Society.

Best Wishes to all of our race teams, drivers and fans for a happy and safe Labor Day weekend.  We look forward to seeing you at Tri-City Raceway Park on Sunday, September 11th as racing action will resume with the BRP Modified Tour, RUSH Pro-Late Models and Penn-Ohio Pro-Stock Series and honor the memory of Sprint Car Drive Bryan Clauson, his family, fiancee and his beloved Chevy and Stewie with the "BC Furever" Fundraiser.

This is one of the things that I love about the racing community.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.
