FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Reconfigured Track Welcomes Race Teams to the $80,000 UFo “Stateline ShootOut” September 8-9-10

(Mars, PA)  The new ownership of the New Stateline Speedway in Busti, NY will host their first multi-day, mega-event on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, September 8, 9, 10.  The UFo/Mod Tour “Stateline ShootOut” will pay out $80,000 in prize money over the weekend.

Continuing their directive to make Stateline Speedway the showplace of motorsports in the PONY region, the track configuration has been improved for even more exciting racing action.   The banking on the inside of the turns has been reduced, while the outer portion of the track has been banked higher.  This will allow drivers to use the entire width of the track and generate more side-by-side, three and four wide racing action.   The track’s program last Saturday was the first test of the new configuration with great success.

The new ownership of Stateline Speedway has set high standards for all of their events in their first full season. The “Stateline ShootOut” will close out their racing year by continuing that trend.  Over $80,000 will be offered to race teams in the competing divisions.   With strong fan and race team support of this event, the track owners plan to grow this into one of the premier events in the region.

The star attractions of the event will be the UFo Super Late Models competing in two complete racing programs for $2,500 and $5,000 to win, and the Mod Tour Inc. Big Block Modifieds racing for $2,500 to win.    All other of Stateline’s excellent divisions will compete for championship payoffs including RUSH Crate Late Models for $2,000 to win*, Outlaw E-mods for $1,400 to win*, Street Stocks for $600 to win*, RUSH Pro-Mods for $500 to win, Super Sportsman for $350 to win, Pure Stocks $250 to win and Challengers for $200 to win.

Stateline Speedway has extended the UFo “Instant Bonus Payoff” to the top 11 drivers in the point standings for this massive event.    Any of the top 11 drivers (which are all of the drivers with multiple UFo appearances this year) will receive one $200 bonus for the weekend on top of their event winnings upon event attendance and program completion.

The “Stateline ShootOut” will kick off on Thursday, September 8 with an open practice for all divisions.   Race teams are reminded that the only other practice sessions of the weekend will be green-white check warm-ups on Friday, September 9 for only the UFo Super Late Models and MTI Big Block Modifieds.

On Friday, September 9, the “Battle at the Border” will showcase two premium divisions paying a total of $5,000 to the winners.   The UFo Super Late Models will compete in a full program with a 38 lap championship feature paying $2,500 to win, $200 to start and $125 for non-qualifiers.  The MTI Big Block Modifieds will also race in a full program with a 35 lap championship paying $2,500 to win.  The RUSH Crate Late Models, Outlaw E-mods and Street Stocks will race in qualifying heat races.  The RUSH Pro-Mods will race in their full program.  If 12 or less Pro-Mods are in attendance, they will race in a feature only.

On Saturday, September 10, the “Penn-Yorker” will feature the UFo Super Late Models with a full program with a 55 lap championship paying $5,000 to the winner, $425 to start and $200 for non-qualifiers.  The RUSH Crate Late Models, Outlaw E-mods and Street Stocks will run their consolation races and championship feature races.   Challengers, Super Sportsman and Pure Stocks will compete in a full program.   If 12 or less cars in any of these classes are in attendance, they will race in a feature only.

Stateline Speedway will continue their bargain discount pricing for their season finale.  For the “Track Test” on Thursday, the pits will be $20 with free grandstand admission.  Admission for the “Battle at the Border” on Friday and the “Penn-Yorker” on Saturday will be only $20 for adults each night, $15 for seniors 62+, college students and military with ID each night, $10 for juniors 6-16 each night, and $35 for the pits each night.   Super Late Models will have a $25 car entry fee for each race.   RUSH Crate Late Models and Outlaw E-mods Stocks will also have a $25 entry fee while Street Stocks will have a $10 entry fee.    All car entry fees will be deducted from final payoffs.

UFo rules will apply for the Super Late Models at Stateline with a 25 weight allowance in all categories at this track only.    This event will use an open compound tire rule with a 16 ¾” cross section and 93” circumference limit for the Super Late Model cars.  The track tire rule with Hoosier 15/1300 or harder or American Racer 44 or harder compunds permitted with a minimum punch of 36.

Dog Hollow Speedway has released the initialdetails for the three day spectacular “ThunderDog Showdown” on Thursday-Friday-Saturday, September 22-23-24.   The “ThunderDog Showdown” will be a total late model phenomenon with four late model-type features and three late model classes in competition during the weekend.

The 2016 UFo “ThunderDog Showdown” will feature two complete UFo Super Late Model programs paying $8,000 total to win.  UFo Super Late Models will race for $2,000 to win in the “Flying Floyd Kline Klassic” and $6,000 to win in the “ThunderDog Finale.”    Semi-Lates (steel block/limited/crate option) will race for $1,500 to win.  Crate Late Models will compete for $1,500 to win.  Hobby/Pure Stocks will pay $700 to win and Roadrunner 4-Cylinders will compete for $400 to win.

The weekend will kick off of Thursday, September 24 with a “Track Test.”  This night will allow all competitors open practice on the 3/8 mile supertrack to set their cars up for the weekend.

On Friday, September 24, the “Flyin’ Floyd Kline Klassic” will feature the UFo Super Late Models in a full racing program with a 36 lap feature paying $2,000 to the winner.  Floyd was the inaugural winner of the “Fall Fest” event held at the Challenger Raceway, so it is fitting that his tribute race be part of this new Indiana County fall event.  The Semi-Lates, Crate Late Models, Hobby/Pure Stocks and Roadrunner/4-Cylinders will compete in their qualifying heat races.

On Saturday, September 25, the “ThunderDog Finale” will feature the UFo Super Late Models in another full racing program with $6,000 going to the winner of the 61 lap championship finale for the circuit.  The Semi-Lates, Crate Late Models, Hobby/Pure Stocks and Roadrunner 4-Cylinders will all race in their consolation and super championship feature events.

UFo rules will apply for the Super Late Models.    This event will use an open compound tire rule with a 16 ¾” cross section and 93” circumference limit for the Super Late Model cars.

Full payoffs for the UFo “ThunderDog Showdown” will be announced in the upcoming weeks.  .  Each night the pit gates will open at 3:30 with grandstands opening at 5:00 and action starting at 7:00.  The rain date for the “ThunderDog Showdown” will be the following weekend on October 1-2-3
