With the exception of the big block Modifieds, not much changed in the Cavalcade Points last weekend with not a whole lot of races scheduled and even less being run due to the rain.  Coming up this week will be the last "BIG" weekend of the season with the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars at Lernerville and two-day shows at Mercer, Eriez and Dog Hollow.  Several big ones after that such as the Pittsburgher and the Stampede at Lernerville, but the number of races scheduled each weekend is decreasing quickly!    Here is a look at the Cavalcade Points and feature wins heading into the weekend.

SPRINT CARS.  Jack Sodeman, Jr. has his second Cavalcade honor all but won here with a 27 point lead. Even if  A J Flick or Sheldon Haudenschild won all three remaining races, they could only tie Sodeman.

1.  Jack Sodeman, Jr.   56 (9)

2.  A J Flick   29 (4)

    Sheldon Haudenschild   29 (1)

4. Carl Bowser   24 (4)

5. Brandon Matus   18 91)

LATE MODELS......With 16 wins, Max Blair has had the Late Models won for quite a while now. However,  second is wide open with six drivers within ten points of second with at least five big races left.

1.  Max Blair   121 (16)

2.  Dave Hess, Jr.  51 (3)

3.  Matt Cosner   49 (7)

4.  Josh Richards   45 (3)

5.  Robbie Blair   44 (6)

6.  Jared Miley   43 (5)

7.  Alex Ferree   41 (8)

8.  Russell King   34 (4)

9.  Tim Senic   30 (4)

10. Keith Barbara   29 (2)

MODIFIEDS............Third generation New York driver Erick Rudolph took the lead from Rex King, Jr. by winning the Russ King Memorial at Sharon Saturday and now leads by 7.  Only the Lernerville Stampede remains, but both drivers have told me they will not be there for that one.  King has a family wedding to go to and Rudolph will be running a small block race in Canada that weekend.  So unless something changes, this one appears settled!

1.  Erick Rudolph   48 (5)

2  Rex King, Jr.   41 (5)

3. Mat Williamson   31 (8)

4  Rex King   28 (1)

5. Garrett Krummert   21 (1)

LIMITED LATE MODELS.........With a 28 point lead, Max appears to have this one won as well and for the second straight year will win both the Late Models and the Ltd. Lates. Second through 4th is quite close.

1.  Max Blair   83 (12)

2. Jeremy Wonderling   55 (10)

3. Darrell Bossard   51 (7)

4. Damian Bidwell  44 (7)

5. Bryce Davis  33 (2)

LIMITED MODIFIEDS..........The season long battle between past Cavalcade winners David Scott and Joel Watson continues with Scott ahead by 12. Both drivers have won 18 times this year!!  At least three big races remain, so it could go either way and could be decided at the Stampede.  Everyone else is way back.

1.  David Scott   101 (18)

2.  Joel Watson   89  (18)

3.  Brad Rouse   50 (4)

4. Dan Davies  49 (3)

5. Jimmy Holden   47 (8)

LIMITED SPRINT CARS..........These guys haven't seen much action in the past several weeks and lost the double point Tri-City race Sunday to the weather.  Two nights of racing at Mercer's Little Guy Nationals may decide it, although there might be one more race at Thunder Mountain.

1.  Andy Priest  33 (4)

2. Jacob Gomola   24 94)

3. C J Jones   23 (2)

   Jimmy Seger  23 (6)

5, Cody Bova  15 (1)

STOCK CARS...........Chris Schneider is looking for repeat honors here but has to hold off Fuzzy Fields, the top circuit winner, and past Cavalcade winner Nate Smith.  There are about a half-dozen big races left, but hard to tell who will go where!!

1.  Chris Schneider   74 (7)

2  Fuzzy Fields   60 (13)

3. Nate Smith  40  (9)

4. Dave Shagla, Jr.  38  (9)

    Corey McPherson  38 (7)

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!!

Walt

Walt,

How are you weighting the PENN/OHIO races for the stock cars when the increased payout only applies the series drivers?  The Tri-City, Mercer, Raceway7 races if won by a non P/O driver would have been the normal weekly payout.

just curious
