Pierce Sr., ran several Pittsburgher's and also finished 2nd in the 1996 Penn National, his best effort.

I'm gonna pull a "Walt" here with the stats..lol

Bob Pierce ran the "Pittsburgher" twice in the early 90's....,his best finish was 8th in '93..he finished 25th in '91.

according to the 2000 Souvenir Program...  the "Million Dollar Man" Donnie Moran Dominated the race back in the first 10 years..

here's how the top three stacked up..

.............Moran.................. Bloomquist...............Davey Johnson

1989......2nd.............................1st........................8th

1990........................................25th........................................Bob Wearing Jr. won
1991.......1st............................14th.......................9th
1992.......5th............................24th.......................1st
1993.......2nd............................1st.......................14th
1994.......3rd.............................4th........................1st
1995.......13th...........................1st........................4th
1996.......11th...........................2nd.......................3rd................Tim Hitt won
1997.......4th.............................2nd.......................6th................Rick Aukland won
1998......................................................................23rd..............Tim Hitt won
1999.......2nd.........................................................4th...............Todd Andrews won

and theres some "Pittsburgher 100" history.....

Lol. Without looking it up I believe in 90 Bloomer and Joe Meadows were light at the scales and the next year Bloomer was running away with it and got in a wreck lapping Ben Miley in turn 1. He really should have won the first 3 events.

Yep, Wearing Jr. was running third at the checkered flag and ended up with the win.

The Blairs are cherry pickers. If they were so good they would come to every single track that had a big show and show everybody what they got against the best in the business. Instead they like to stay local and only go to tracks where they can beat up on everybody else. Some say it is a smart move others would say they are a cherry picker.

I'm not much of a TBR fan anymore, but how many guys in their neck of the woods race for a living anymore?

No reservation. There's a massive front parking area that could hold several thousand vehicles/campers. It would never sell out.

If I were placing a bet on the winner, JD would be where I would put my $.....but I don't bet!

WoW JD over Bloomquist...

Although a touring guy will probably get it I'd love to see a local win it.

They were already in the list. Mike Marlar is considering it.
