Thunder Mountain Speedway in Knoxdale, Pennsylvania will be under new management effective immediately by R&M Motorsports. R&M Motorsports is owned and operated by long time late model owner Robert Leonard Jr. and Maria Pirazzi. Robert is stepping back from his late model operation to concentrate on Thunder Mountain Speedway and making it a good experience for fans and racers alike.

Racing will still be on Friday nights at 7:30 pm. The 2017 Schedule will be released when completed.

R&M Motorsports has joined forces with Dwayne and Kathy Brooks of Brooks Service LLC and they will be back in the 2017 season to assist with track prep.

Race classes for the 2017 season will consist of Super Lates, Semi-Lates, Street Stocks, and Sprints. There has been a lot of interest in front wheel drive 4 cylinders and is being taken into consideration as a class for the new season. There has been discussion with the Penn Ohio Series and ULMS Series to possibly doing a special/race with both series. Details on that will come in the future. The rules and regulations are being reviewed and if changes are made they will be provided. (Any Semi-Late drivers please contact us via email with your feedback on the shock claimer rule before it is changed). Street Stocks will be running under the Penn Ohio Rules. We are also proud to announce that the Sprint Cars will be run under the RaceSaver Rules.

We are planning a Driver/Crew meeting after the first of the year.

Any track workers that would like to come back please let us know.

Please email us at...rmmotorsportsllc@yahoo.com with any questions/concerns. There will be no comments placed on Social Media. If there are questions/comments/concerns, please contact us directly at the email provided.
