Young Mr. Lynch will get a few this year as well. Especially having a full season and seat time to draw from. The youth movement is on. It happens all the time. No one ever thought anyone could replace Linder, Blaney, Quarterson, Lutz etc...

Lernerville's weekly car count looks like it will be impacted if there is no Bowser or Matus. 

Fewer cars impacts the car count.  Maybe this seems obvious to me because I understand subtraction.  Is there something more subtle that I'm missing?

Right on padnuts. With them no longer offering free camping I can see that taking a hit on the attendance at all major events.... gary is no longer involved so I see this yr going backwards also.

How many tracks offer free camping at their big events nowadays??

Also why is it a big issue having to pay to camp?? If it rains and the grounds get all rutted and ripped up and have to be fixed should the track owner just eat the extra costs?? What about the hogs (not everyone) that leave all their garbage laying around, fire pit rubbish, etc that the owner has to clean up and remove??

Why should a track owner have to eat these added costs??

One day people are going to get fed up with the headaches of owning a race track and putting up with the never ending BS and all you people will have is talking about the "good old days" as you walk around the Lernerville Shopping Complex or visiting people at the Sarver Village Estates on Don Martin Lane.....

Not sure how a question about western pa sprint cars turned into a bitch session about lernerville but ill play along. you guys saying lernerville will take a step backwards couldn't be more wrong, in my opinion.

I can tell you first hand that each and every member of the current management team (Thompson Family) who sees me in the pits ,during or after a race night, has stopped and taken the time to shake my hand

and thank me for coming. I can also tell you first hand that I, as well as numerous other drivers, have been approached by the current general manager and asked for opinions and or ideas to improve the racing,

rules and safety of our cars.

I have never had any problems or beefs with the former G.M. but I can tell you that in my experience with him, if you weren't a big name front runner in a headline division, your opinion didn't mean squat to him.

The Thompson family may be new to owning / operating a dirt track but they are far from new to running a successful business that is profitable. I see no problem at all with someone having to pay a small fee

to park a camper on racetrack property for a 3 day drunk fest.

I feel that the Thompson family has done a fine job in their brief time running Lernerville and I see nothing that would make me think otherwise moving forward.

Don't forget at Syracuse they charged for camping spots at the New York State Fairgrounds for decades and I never head much complaining!!!

I wondered how long it would take for this thread to get off topic.On the sprint car side of Lernerville, at the Commonwealth Clash the new owner came over where we were tailgating on the turn one end of the parking lot on a golf cart and thanked us for coming to the race, Made me feel wanted and appreciated, the best track in western Pa, and well known all over the country. Any info or rumors on who's building, driving or owning any sprint car in western Pa.

Can't remember how many complaints involving the former GM were posted on this board, about how he was ruining a once great track. No he is gone, and complaints about that.
