Have just read the Mod Tour's website, and if I understand it, some local tracks (I assume Lernerville, Sharon, and Tri-City) since they are not on the Tours schedule, will not support the Tour anymore. you can read it on the website. if this is true, it is definitely a piss poor decision on somebody's part. I have followed the tour since the beginning, and will be at every race I can be again this year.

Could it be that people are just not showing up when these races were scheduled in the past at these tracks?

The Big Block Mods are the headlining division at Sharon, and one of the headliners at Lernerville, and when the tour came to town the regular mod field increased markedly.  Clearly, attendance was not the problem.  I'm guessing it has more to do with local racing politics which is a shame.  The Tour also drew good crowds when they came to PPMS.

The "problems" at Lernerville were between the BRP Mod Tour and DIRTcar, not really Lernerville!!  Now that the World Racing Group no longer owns Lernerville, we can be hopeful that something can be worked out!!  At least I hope so!!

GOOD RACING!!!

Gives some explanation to why Lernerville doesn't have a date ! But, I just can't see why Sharon and Tri-City are not on the schedule ? does Mercer have a Big Block Mod show ?

Maybe with the sanctioning fee and increased payout for the Mod Tour the promoters are not seeing an actual increase in attendance and profit and that is why they are not including them on their schedules.

Eriez and PPMS, although not regular Mod tracks have generally scheduled a tour race and are not on the BRP schedule as well. If it's one or two tracks maybe you could blame politics or the track, but when a half dozen elect to not participate, I think you have to start looking at the tour itself. I guarantee if they were money makers for the track, they would find a way to work it out.

Jo73 they will be at the chiller thriller at Mercer the last Saturday of march and if it is the same as last year the smack down later in the summer between 358's and big blocks will be a BRP race unless it's changed this year I haven't been on the tour website so I am not sure. Last years chiller was a good show lots of good cars some I hadn't seen before. It's a good race to see.

L'ville should really have a BRP race.  maybe on a nite when the SLM or Sprints are not running.  Absolutely should be part of the Stampede!!  How bout it L'ville PR!!

Mercer has brp on March 25th.
Not sure why Sharon isn't having them, especially with the Lou Blaney memorial. Not to start a crappie storm but maybe the rush mods are undermining things. Just a thought

Nothing is wrong with the tour itself. It's put together by some great people that donate their time to put it all together. Look up the tour website and they have a letter to the racers that help explain some of what's going on. My thinking is that with what the rush mods get paid to compete. It makes business sense to charge the same amount at the gate and less money to the competitors

It's what rush stands for that a lot of racers and fans do not agree with. I don't feel a track can survive running weekly rush divisions. I think a lot of it has to do with what the dollars and cents looks like, and that is BOTH sides, so who pays ? The paying customer that keeps the gates open.

Because the area is polluted with the garbage.  Shes got her mitts in everything.  Taking the fun out of the sport.  She needs to open Rush raceway and keep it all to herself, instead of shoving it down peoples throats everywhere else.

Think that would work, 1 track, all rush divisions?

NO. She may have stayed at Mercer if she thought it would have worked.
