When will the 2017schedule be released?

I contacted Shaun Hooks and he told me that May 5 will either be Thunder Mtn or Tri City.  Apart from that, I saw on PPMS site that June 3 and August 5 and October 6 and 7 will all be Penn Ohio races.  I also saw on the Dog Hollow site that September 3 is a Penn Ohio race.  I can't tell you what is set in stone at this point, but that's all the info I have.

May 5 is a Friday, so that would have to be a Thunder Mountain race!!   Tri-City will run the Pro-Stocks in August and then the Applefest with the Homak Penn-Oho series on September 10.

GOOD RACING!!!

Walt

Penn/Ohio strong. I have said it from day 1. If they keep at it as well as they have from the start you are going to see this deal get big. It's racing that guys can do in there garages. You don't need a guy that is a tire specialist or a shock guy. There is no 5th coil or torque arm with a chain on it. You can put a motor together on your engine stand. There is no crate motor that has to go to a certain rebuilder. Many run used rubber, I wonder how many tires the top 5 in series points went thru last year ? Plus best of all, guys can get together in that garage and build something special and create a new experience for themselves and afterwards enjoy a few cold ones. Keep it up Shawn Hooks, your moving in the right direction I say.

Very new to the class only raced a few races last season but this definately seems like the best competition/governing body/tracks for an open motored car to go race.  I think you are seeing what having a "racing guy" running the show does for you versus what some of these other tracks have as "promoters/owners" that aren't actual race guys.

The May 13th event that Sharon has on their schedule is the make race from 2016 that was rained out.  I believe that the field is set for that event.

So right jo73.  Let's get back to the "old" days, when you built your car and motors, instead of buying everything.  It takes a little "smarts" to build an engine.  You know how to repair it, if something goes wrong, you don't send it back to be repaired.  It's like this.  Buying a cow, doesn't  make you a farmer.
