Been to both many times, in my humble opinion, Charlotte is heads & shoulders above Speed Week..
Get to see the three best classes of Dirt Racing at the same place and the price is waaaaaaay below what
you would spend in Fla!! JMO...

As for Charlotte, they rework the track so much that you would have a better chance to see some good racing there. October was a bad month for me to take time away from business so have never made the trip.

I tend to agree about track conditions from day to day...You just never know what a track will be like until race day sometimes?Been to Florida many times. East Bay used to be 'the place to go' the time of year hurts east bay with track prep. it can be racey 1 night and total garbage the next. But that can be said for many tracks. Volusia used to be great for picking sand out of your teeth. Haven't been to either in probably 15yrs

I attended both last year and in my opinion Charlotte was much better. Its not just the racing, but all the things to do and see during the day. Between visiting the NASCAR shops, touring the big track and racing go carts at the GoPro track, we were always doing something. We already have our tickets for this year!

They are both great events. Sawdust is right about all the stuff to do in Charlotte. Of course the Daytona build up is going on all through Speedweeks. There is something about getting out of here and into the sun in February that's kind of nice too.
