No I'm saying that if they did it that way there would be no handout. You would still have to race for your spot. If all other 9 drivers make it then you are the lucky dog. But what I don't understand is how is he still getting the provisional? So your point is that "you" were the colton flinner on the ufo tour since no one ever followed it and you got to race by taking a provisional every time just because you followed the tour?

I don't really see what the big deal is! He was at every race last year so maybe lucas feels the team that does that and commits to the series deserves the provisionals. It is what it is.Even Flinner's website is becoming littered with the word "provisional". He seems so proud of the fact that he makes every race by getting a Lucas Oil handout. No progress seems to have been made after a year on the tour. We'll see if he continues to rely on provisionals to make up for lackluster showings night in and night out. Personally I hope the series makes a change, not only to make Flinner have to race his way in, but also to give fans a show when everyone is competing for the final transfer spot.

Early season provisionals are based on last years stats. Are you all new to racing or just hate the kid? Myself, I know the history of the team and don't feel the need to predict the future.

Not hating. Just didn't know if it was because he was rookie of the year last year or because he was that far up in regular points. I personally enjoy the fact that he is trying. He will eventually have a great night and that's all it takes is just one. Then everyone will be buying his shirts and cheering him on.Early season provisionals are based on last years stats. plain and simple he;s a flinner, like john and mark,( ive raced against both.).. why would colton be any different ? but I still would rather see him do well, and not be a provisional speedbump every show

Series like Lucas and WoO no longer have large amounts of regulars following the tour, so they set a high priority on loyalty. I would guess the reason that Flinner has not improved more is because he can't match the budgets of most of the veteran competitors on the Lucas Tour. If some of you guys are so interested in how they make any money, maybe you should donate a few hours or bucks. Every series turns away cars that qualify and race better than the provisional, that's the nature of the beast.
