I've never been to McKean but was wondering if the 3 1/2 hour trip would be worth it?....I heard it's pretty racey?....Just need some opinions?

It's like any other track, if the track prep is off, the racing is not so good.  Having said that, I've seen more good races than bad at McKean.  Very nice aluminum seats and very good lighting.

If you live south of interstate 80, it's worth going there for the enjoyment of the trip through wilderness getting there.

I've been there a few times to watch a super late show when there was not a 410 sprint show available within my driving range.  Nice track and I think I remember there was a fun bar/eats place to go to in town.  I think I remember it being on the left through town before you turned to the right to go around to the track.

Nice time to the track and nice folks in the area to have eats and a beer with.  Or maybe I had too good in the way of eats, conversation and drinks getting there and the "show" took care of itself.   :)

I do remember getting lost on the way back through the forest taking what I thought would be a short cut.  But found a nice country burger and beer joint and didn't mind the extra long trip back.

I wouldn't change your mind, over one post. I've been going up there  ,since the Macs series was running. I have seen a lot of good racing up there. Never missed a Fall Classic.  Also, it is a nice ride up there. There's a couple different ways, all are a nice ride.
