CARNESVILLE, GA – ULTIMATE Super Late Model North East Region drivers interested in trying out the new series as a part of its 2017 Introductory Pilot Season will have an opportunity to do so with big money up for grabs.  The ULTIMATE NE drivers can compete in the 60-lap $20,000-to-win, $575-to-start race at Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, VA on April 8.

The 60-lap $20,000-to-win, $575-to-start Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth at Virginia Motor Speedway is one of two races for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series that are the richest single-day races in the nation for Regional Super Late Models.  This National event is a points race for the ULTIMATE South East Region.

“We’re confident that both competitors, fans and tracks alike in the ULTIMATE NE Region of Pennsylvania and Northern Ohio will be impressed with the ULTIMATE brand of Super Late Model racing,” ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series Founder and CEO Stan Lester said.  “The only way they’re going to know what I’m saying is to come and give it a try.  They will see we don’t call the series ULTIMATE for nothing!”

The ULTIMATE NE Region was launched in February, but was late in booking 2017 dates, as most tracks had already set and released their schedules for the year.  That’s why ULTIMATE NE will run an Introductory Pilot Season to give tracks and competitors an opportunity to get to know the series.

For the 2017 ULTIMATE NE season, no memberships are required, and no points will be awarded, nor will there be a point fund.  More dates are being put together for the 2017 ULTIMATE NE Intro season, and a schedule will be announced in the coming days.  The ULTIMATE NE Director Rose Compton is busy not only booking dates for 2017, but is also looking ahead to 2018.

Tracks in Pennsylvania looking to book an ULTIMATE NE event for either 2017 and/or 2018 should contact Region Director Rose Compton at 724-433-0159, or by E-Mail at rose@fastrakracing.com.

The one and only pilot race I'm thinking? Phones obviously not ringing off the hook to book races, late start or not.

I never cease to be amazed how negative people can be. I can clearly see why PR people despise message boards. This is the reason message boards are closing on a weekly basis.

Its only the single largest late model race in the United States this weekend, expecting 70-90 late models and you complain? Over $80,000 in purse money in one single day and all you can see is how something is wrong???

Theres a lot of difference between doing something and trying to tear something down with a keyboard. Apply that same amount of effort to helping motorsports and we would all be a lot better off.

It's not the single largest late model race in the United States this weekend. The Lucas Oil Bad Boy 98 at Batesville is also $20k to win this weekend. Might wanna research first next time.

Plus it's a Crown Jewel Cup event for Lucas and quite honestly to pay $545 to start for a $20k race is pretty piss poor. Lucas is paying $1200 to start so I guess that makes their purse the "largest for the weekend in the United States"

I've been told the racers wanted this series. Tracks maybe not so much? Not my fault you can't book dates. Being in the northwest of Pa, Saluda is not very local to, or remotely close, to where these series races were supposed to be by my map. And then you add the MOV bunch into the mix. Good Luck.

70 to 90 late models??

Many of the highest paying long standing late model races in the USA cannot draw 70-90 late models for their shows.

Not being negative as you say people are on message boards but VMS has had a history of low car counts because of its location no matter what series sanctioned the race or what it paid.

Hey I hope you get 100 cars to show up but making "car count" claims like you did can come back to bite you in the butt.

Just ask the guy from the UFO series who made the same claim hyping huge late model counts for his big race a few years ago and only 20 some cars showed up.

I know which race you're referring to, and it wasn't 20 some odd cars. It was like 40-50 cars, but very few of the national names advertised actually showed up. IIRC, Tim Fuller (who was one of the few "national" guys that actually showed) won the race.

As per this Ultimate northeast thing, I know for a fact that there is some interest from both racers and tracks. The late start did hurt them a bunch, as the majority of possible tracks already had full schedules.

Well they got 34 super lates. A little on the lower end of expectations there.

They got 32 Fastrack Crates, and 34 Ultimate Supers....   Close to 70 total "late models"....    Hope they keep pushing ahead...
