Lucas Oil didn't ask me if I wanted to pay $25 to watch their drivers pull off the track for a non points race. This is a bunch of bull.
Never see me at another Lucas Oil Race. Can't wait for big races at Eldora.

You live in a dream world. This Lucas race was supposed to happen last year and got rained out. They couldn't reschedule it last year so it was booked for this year. Lucas doesn't just say "Hey, let's have a race at Lernerville". Lernerville has to ask Lucas to have the race, and be willing to pay the sanctioning fee.
I'm sure the details are probably wrong, but I think the general gist of what he posted isn't entirely unbelievable. I can see a scenario where the idea of holding a Lucas race at Lernerville at some point this season was floated by someone and a message being communicated back that with Lernerville's traditional bread and butter being the Sprints and the Silver Cup and the relationship with WoO going back well over 30 years, that it would be rather distasteful to want to replace the WoO Lates, as inferior as it is to the Lucas series. I'm pretty sure it's all solely based on a Sprint mindset.
It sucks and it's antiquated, I'm of the opinion that the Lucas Late Model series is superior to the World of Outlaw Sprint Series, but Lernerville tends to stick to tradition. We're talking about a track that in 2017 still shuts down it's regular Fab 4 racing season at the end of August so as not to compete with Freeport high school football.

Say the scenario you say is in play where Lernerville asked Lucas to have a race but the WoO said they'd pull the Firecracker and Silver Cup if they went through with it actually happened. They're not going to shitcan their biggest races (and biggest money makers) of the year to appease half of their fanbase. Besides, that race generally attracts many of the Lucas racers anyways.

If Port Royal can do it I'm sure Lernerville could also. My question is, why would lernerville management change. The 2 WoO races, Sprints and SLM do just fine all around. The Firecracker for years has been a race many plan there vacations around. Bloomquist shows, it was a favorite of T-Mac, be curious to see if he shows now that he is running Lucas.

He ran Lucas last year and showed. He really digs Lernerville. Always has.
Yes, he ran there when Lucas rained out last year in Swartzlander's car as well.
