Based on what little I can get from their website, Boom Briggs won the race but it appears only 18 laps were completed.  I have to assume that the race was rain shortened?  Can anyone confirm that??

THANX & GOOD RACING!!!

Walt

2017 Results can be found on the website or this link

https://speedhive.my...izations/293667.

The website is updated. Also the race did get shortened because of rain.

Thanks.

That's all that is on their website, with no story and no mention of a rain shortened race!!   And Thunder Mountain is a track that doesn't bother to send anything out to the media.  I also checked the ULMS website, and so-far nothing there either!!

THANX!!

Walt

Honestly, first time I was ever there, and its a bad@$$ track.  Really cool little place.  Walt, if it matters.  Brent Johnson won the stocks.

Dustin Jarrett was there last night and I followed his twitter. He confirmed that they called it at 18 laps and gave the top 5 running order. Boom broke the track record in hot laps with a 15.8. Then max broke it in qualifying group A with a 15.3. Bomm was fastest in group B with a 15.5.

Do you use Twitter? Might be a bit easier to find the things you need on there. I'm sure there are a few tracks here and there that still are in the stone age but if you know where to look you can find up to the minute details of results. Like someone said, Dustin Jarrett was providing ULMS updates last night at least once every ten minutes.

On a related topic, if you know where to look you can also follow Round Robin's hilariously awkward messages to female reality television stars.

Facebook (and other social media) is where it's at these days. Results are everywhere on there. It was one hell of a show there last night. Unfortunately, rains came but the track was as close to perfect as you could ever ask for. Awesome field of really good late models. Exciting race for 2nd in the stocks too. Great multi-groove racing all night long. If you stayed home due to past issues, you missed out! Keep it up and the cars/fans will be there.

Vigoda......May be true, but media people should not have to go on Facebook & Twitter to get track results!!   That is the responsibility of the track to get the word out and promote their shows!!    With email it is much easier for a track PR person to get the word out that it was back in the 60s-70s!!   Back then you ran things off by hand, mailed them out and used Special Delivery stamps to get the results to the trade papers on time.  Back when I did PR for Mercer in the 70s, that's how it was done and we usually got the results to AREA AUTO RACING NEWS, NATIONAL SPEED SPORT NEWS  and other papers on time every week!!

GOOD RACING!!
