I'm sorry but I just don't get it. 30 lap semi, 800 to win. 20 lap crate, 6 to 700. A enduro, that the fringing cars come from shit and that pays 1000.00 were has common sense gone ? I hear they may have a field of cars that goes all the way around the track. If there making money then maybe somebody needs to drop all there current classes and run strictly enduros. And 3 different classes of late models doesn't help either.

Looks like Lernerville will be down to about 10 to 12 late models

Yeah, the Dog being off Friday but racing Sunday should benefit car counts at both Dog Hollow and Lernerville.

What Pooch cars would head to Lernerville??

I could see a few Pooch cars heading to Thunder Mountain where it's an open brand tire rule.

So can I assume the Semi Late rules are the 358 semi late rules that is new at Dog Hollow this year, and same as Hummingbird and TM?

None. At this point, the Lernerville regulars stay at Lernerville, the Dog Hollow guys will stay at Dog Hollow (you may be correct that a few will go to Thunder Mtn Friday) and the locals that do a little bit of traveling, like Miley, will be at Bedford.

Very few locals run more than one night a week anymore. Weekly racing is in a sorry state.

On another note, the racing scene just isn't the same without Sheetz...

Everybody knows that brand tire rules are a load of crap, but as long as tire companies will fork over enough benjamins they are a cross racing will continue to bear. Aargh.

It seems after the nice weekend we've had so far, at 10:30 am today, with the sun still out and haven't had seen a drop of rain, Dog Hollow decided to go ahead and cancel this race anyway, which is fairly typical for a second class operation.

Sure it's disappointing to see this event cancelled. But with 70% chance at start time and over 50% chance for the rest of the event I think it's a wise call. Surely not second class. It has a better than 50% chance of saving the racers and spectators lost expenses but guarantees the promoter losses money on his prep of the facility.

We were very disappointed to cancel this event. Last year, hard storms hit the track after many race teams and fans had already arrived, and we wanted to prevent a repeat. This event will be made up on Friday August 4th.

This was Indiana County at 7:45 Sunday night.  We hope everyone had time to make alternate plans for their holiday since the weather didn't cooperate.

If someone would have cancelled early on a weather forcast five years ago, there would have been numerous posts of outrage and condemnation. It is good to see that some fans and racers can finally see the big picture.
