Posting on another subject made me think of the place. In all the years I have made the journey to Eldora I started thinking about what western pa drivers have made the trip out for either sprint or late model action. This is what I came up with.

Ed Lynch Jr.

Lynn Giesler

Steve Peles

Clate Hustted

Satterlee

Coltin Flinner

Huck

Rex KIng

Lou Blaney

Not sure on these guys

Bob Wearing

Ted Wise

Ralphie Quarterson

Eddie Murphy

John Flinner

I'm sure I missed someone.

Uh you missed a ton. The shorter list would be who hasn't raced at Eldora.

Quite a few area Modified drivers went out there for the first Super DIRT Series race a few years back.   If you don't count full time travelers like the Blaneys, most western PA drivers have not fared well in their Eldora trips.

GOOD RACING!!!

More than I expected. The current crop of sprint guys listed does surprise me. You really don't pay attention to the locals that show up there. It's really unfortunate but as Walt mentioned the drivers that have been there have never faired to well. Walt, did one of the sprint guys show up there and run a USAC wingless deal. His name slips my mind.

not sure if He ever went to Earl's Place, but Jamie Smith always loved wingless shows...

Zach Morrow was just out there last year and qualified for the BOSS show. Lots of locals have made the trip west over the years.

I would say chubb for sure. As I said previously a ton more guys have made the trip than I ever realized. Good for them, laps at that place is something I'm sure you will never forget.

We went in 2014 for the Johnny Appleseed. As an under budget team, I feel we did well for the first time there. We had the fastest lap time in the hot lap session and was in a transfer spot to the "A" in the heat race until we had contact with another car that took us out of contention. Eldora was worth the trip with the history of the place and being able to make some laps around it. As a driver and how I can describe the place, it drove like an over-sized Lernerville.

It was our first laps around the track, but it's motivation for us to say we were fastest in hot laps with a 16.419. 2nd was Kent Robinson 16.425, 3rd was Bowersock at 16.490, Moore and Noonan with others followed. Our team was happy to represent our area as a local team able to have some speed in that particular event.

I feel that PPMS can be a top-line dominant track at times helps with running the wall at Eldora. Hence, with the strong runs that Norris and Ferree among others have had at Eldora maybe can contribute with the experience they've had at the tracks in our area.

On that topic, I would like to see Keith Barbara enter in the Dream or World. They're a one-car team and Keith is one of the most knowledgeable driver/setup guy out there. He will represent Western PA well, as he does anywhere he travels.

Skarzenski, Bolland, & Smoker were three of the mod guys I remember running the first SDS race there. Probably Swartzlander too. King Jr was there last year. Two guys I wonder about though are Cassella and Ellenberger
