July 4, 2017 (Sandy Lake, PA) The Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stocks will get back into the swing of things starting with a non-points event at Expo on Thursday, July 13th; a Touring Series point show at Raceway 7 on Friday, July 14th; a Touring Series point race on Sunday, July 16th at Eriez Speedway; and a Touring Series and Segment One point race at Sharon Speedway on Saturday, July 22nd. Each event is $1,000 to-win.
Expo will kick off the first of three races in four days. The driver with the highest finishes for the three races at Expo, Raceway 7, and Eriez will walk away with a $500 bonus sponsored by M & T Allison Construction.
The Expo race on Thursday, July 13th will be at the Trumbull County Fair located at 899 Everett Cortland Hall Road, Cortland, Ohio 44410. Gates open at 2 p.m. with hot laps at 5:30 and racing at 6. Homak Penn Ohio rules and purse structure will be followed for the $1,000 to-win event. Although it is a non-point race in 2017, it is possible the event will be added as a point race in the 2018 season.
Drivers will stay in the Ohio area for a race at Raceway 7 located at 4094 Center Road, Conneaut, Ohio 44030. On Friday, July 14th, the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series will have the third Touring Series race of the 2017 season. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 7:30.
From Raceway 7, drivers will head to Erie, PA on Sunday, July 16th to continue racing action for the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series. Eriez Speedway is located at 9821 Sampson Road, Erie, PA 16509. Pits open at 3:30 p.m., grandstands at 4:30 with racing at 6:30. Not only will it be a $1,000 to-win show, it will be autograph night and Phantom Signs & Shirts Kids Night.
The next weekend, the Homak Penn Ohio Series will return to Sharon Speedway located at 3241 Custer Orangeville Road, Hartford, Ohio 44424. The Saturday, July 22nd event will be a Touring Series and Segment One point race. Pits open at 4 p.m., grandstands at 5 with racing at 7. There will be a power wheels race for kids and it is a Twin-State Auto Racing Club Night.
