I've gotta give Thunder Mountain some credit. Last night was an easy night to give up and cancel with a pretty ugly forecast, but they stuck it out once again and ended up with a beautiful night and great track surface. People were probably nervous to travel with 50-60% rain chances, but they keep proving that they WILL try to race if it's not pouring down rain. That's refreshing in a time where tracks pull the plug if there's rain within 100 miles and they think they might lose money (although I understand that perspective from a business). Even if you lose a little on a night like that though, I think it really boosts confidence in the track going forward.

Not great, but that's kind of my point. They seem to be doing things right for the racers. Just pointing that out so that maybe some guys will give it a shot that haven't yet when dog hollow or lernerville cancel. The locals are not showing up weekly, even if it's sunny and 75 (who knows the million reasons why. That's a whole new discussion) but there are guys who travel and are there every week. There have been some damn good cars there randomly that seem to like the place. Just giving credit where it's due and maybe a few drivers/fans take notice.

I don't think he's missed a week. Seems to be liking the place. Dorman came down a few weeks into the season and has been there every week now too. Good to see people starting to travel in. They have a good pay structure back through the field. That's a big plus for guys that have to travel.

I think they should put transponders in the tow trucks. it seems to take them forever to get to a wreck, then another 10 min. to decide if they should hook up or not.
