For Immediate Release
July 18, 2017 (Sandy Lake, PA) The Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series will return to Sharon Speedway for their second scheduled event of the 2017 season. The first event back on May 13th had 50 drivers show up only to be disappointed by Mother Nature’s unexpected down pour after heat races were complete. As a result the $2,000 to-win, make-up 2016 Applefest race will be on the schedule for this Saturday after the 2017 point race worth $1,000 to-win is completed.
Sharon Speedway is located at 3241 Custer-Orangeville Road, Hartford, Ohio. Pits will open at 4 p.m., grandstands at 5 p.m., hot laps at 6:40 p.m., and racing at 7 p.m. The track will have Twin-State Auto Racing Club Night with Free General Admission for card-carrying members or discounted $20 pit passes. Also a kids’ power wheels race will be held at intermission.
The Homak Penn Ohio Series will be charging a $25 registration fee for those drivers who did not participate in the May 13th new event. Those drivers who were at the May 13th event and paid the $25 registration will not incur a registration fee for Saturday’s event, but will need to check in at the Penn Ohio trailer and draw a pill for starting positions and contingency prizes.
