MOTHER NATURE FORCES SHARON SPEEDWAY TO CANCEL 7/22 EVENT, HOMAK PENN OHIO SERIES' EVENTS RESCHEDULED TO 7/29!

July 22, 2017 (Sandy Lake, PA) The unpredictable weather has played havoc on the 2017 racing season and certainly has not been kind to Sharon Speedway. The early rain and expected rain showers throughout the day has forced Sharon Speedway officials to cancel the 7/22 event. The Homak Penn Ohio Series' events are rescheduled to next Saturday, 7/29. The 2017 $1,000 to-win Touring Series and Segment One points race, as well as the $2,000 to-win 2016 Applefest Make-up race will be on card for the 29th. Drivers who paid the $25 registration fee on May 13th will not incur additional registration costs but will need to visit the Penn Ohio trailer to draw a pill for starting positions and contingency prizes.
Drivers can still register for the 2017 Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series. Registered drivers are eligible for per race contingency prizes, as well as major prizes awarded at the end of segment races and the banquet including: Homak tool carts and tool boxes; car wraps by Animal Graphics; car wrap by Phantom Signs and Graphics; ARbodies nose pieces; a set of Schoenfeld Headers; Five Star Bodies nose pieces; a set of Genesis shocks; and many gift certificates.
