Taylor endures lengthy feature for $1,500 payday

Sarver, PA (July 21, 2017) Modified Mania brought 102 cars to Lernerville Speedway Friday, including 17 PA Vintage Modifieds for the Art Osmer Memorial. Art Osmer was a driver, car owner, friend, and family man and the racing community will miss him greatly. The PA Vintage Modifieds put on a great show in the memorial race and Bill Watson battled Les Meyers from green to checkers to score the win. Luke Zimmer won the Sportsman (6-cylinder) portion of that race.
In the Diehl Mods, Mat Williamson continued his winning ways by scoring his seventh win of the season. Mighty Mat started 16th on the grid after dropping a driveshaft in heat race action and had to run down Super DIRTcar Series rising star Ryan Watt whom assumed the lead after early leader Brian Swartzlander broke while leading.
Jonathan Taylor scored a $1,500 victory well over an hour after the green flag flied on the UMP Modified feature. A rain delay, a pair of red flag sessions and several cautions marred what had the potential to be a great race. Tyler Dietz started on the pole and held of several charges from multiple drivers to win his third Pic-A-Part Pro Stock feature of the season. Rocky Kugel won his fourth RUSH Sportsman Modified feature in five attempts dating back to the Steel City Stampede in October.
