The 28th annual Jook George Steel City Classic will be held on August 12th at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. This years event will be a Sweeney Rush Touring Series event. A great field of drivers is expected for what is the biggest crate race in the area in 2017. Many of the older fans will remember Jook and his famous number 10 cars. He had many great drivers in his cars over the years. This night is a tribute to a great man who left us way too soon.
Current Sweeney Tour points leader Bryce Davis will lead a strong group of touring drivers into battle against PPMS points leader Justin Lamb and a strong group of locals who will look to follow 2016 winner Mike Reft in keeping the loot local. Also we have received word from Russ King and Mike Pegher Jr that they both plan to be in competition at the event. Week in and week out the crates put on a great show at PPMS and this should be a great event with a strong field of drivers.
