Andrew Wylie started on the outside pole in the feature next to Doug Glessner, took the lead at the drop of the green, and led all 51 laps to capture the Golden Anniversary race at Marion Center Speedway tonight, pocketing the $5100.  He had Jared Miley on his tail the final twenty laps or so, but, other than one time when Miley got on his inside heading into the third turn, he was able to drive away and take the checkered flag.  There were 37 Super Late Models in the pits tonight.  They did a great job of moving the races along, with just the right amount of support divisions.  The Late Model feature was over before 10:30.  Results are as follows:

Was a good night of racing. Was nice to see a good crowd on hand and a good car count for the SLM.

Congrats to Wylie on the win, he's got himself a hot rod.

Good night of racing, I was really happy to see 37 late models in the pits and a really great crowd. The micro sprints surprised me, they were really entertaining. It looked like Miley was going to be able to make a run on Wylie with about 10 to go but it didn't happen. Overall it was a good show, tracks working together like MCS and Dog Hollow are what we need more of these days.

I actually did hear Garlock's name mentioned, but the PA system up there isn't the best.  Thanks for the correction.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to go tomorrow, too far away for a Sunday night since I live in eastern Allegheny County and still gotta work on Monday, lol.

Miley only got close enough to race side by side with Andrew after a caution.
Miley caught up to him, but was never really any challenge. It was dominating
to say the least! Good job Andrew it is well deserved and just one of many to come!
Off to Dog Hollow for a repeat!

That heat race with Tony Musolino was the race of the night! He had that hot rod eating hard on the top side while everyone else was hugging the bottom. Impressive to say the least!!

Hopefully someone got video of it and can post it here.

Was that the first win for Wylie in a super late?? Think I remember him winning in the crate lates.

Also if I remember right doesn't he design and build his own chassis?

Well i was wondering if the Blairs were going to stay home this weekend due to MC and DH going back to back. Surprising to me.

Wylie won at Dog Hollow on Sept. 10 of last year for what I think was his only previous super Late win.  Didn't win much in the crates either, so really a big upset with Miley and Ferree in the field!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!

Walt

We pitted next to Andrew last night and he designs and builds the chassis, hubs, possibly suspension too. He is on to something with a lot of potential. Very nice car. Congrats to him and their team.

Also, thanks D1RT for the shout out.

Andrew told me this morning that that was his 4th win in the Supers.  I believe he picked up a couple down at Roaring Knob last season.    He definitely builds a nice car, you won't find a more well built unit out there.
