One of the organizers of the race is Robbie Cyrus, who is the Director of FASTRAK’s sister series, the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series Mid-Ohio Valley Region.
“Myself and Keith Bowling started the UBB 29 Miners Memorial Race seven years ago to try and raise money to build a permanent Memorial for the 29 miners that lost their lives in the accident,” Cyrus said. “The Memorial has already been built, and we used any money collected now to pay the upkeep on it.”
